Drawing on a lifelong passion of “buying fresh, buying local,” chef and owner Matt O’Varanese prides his food on the fact that it is
made using only the purist ingredients available. He has become known
around the Shenandoah Valley, Washington, DC area, and the foothills of the
Blue Ridge Mountains for his innovative dishes and customized event menus.
The Standard Catering Co. considers food to be much more than a simple
culinary endeavor - it is flavorful art. We source the freshest local ingredients
available to celebrate the bounty of each season
and enhance the quality of our catering service.
We have an incredible abundance of locally grown
foods in the Blue Ridge Mountains, including a
tremendous variety of free range meats and local
produce. It is with the utmost respect to our farmers
and purveyors that we prepare and serve the food
they work so hard to produce with the highest
integrity. Our menus are created from the fruits of
their labor.
