1. Announcements o Hamilton County Parks – Recycled >2000 strands of Christmas lights with Cohen

(double last year) o Keep Covington Beautiful – Electronics Recycling Event with Cohen – Mar 19th o Players for the Planet – dates TBD o Cohen’s new expansion building (110,000 sq ft) – almost complete

§ Will have a one of kind shredder for electronic waste

2. Let’s Do It Campaign – Discussion

o Updates § Social Media – 14 facebook followers, 12 pledges § Sponsorship - Status?

o Strategy-Brainstorm Ideas

§ Social Media – how should we use it? • Educate • Advocate • Platform for Awareness – This shows people what we are doing, how it’s for their

own benefit, and sharing it sends the message “ hey, look what I’m doing”. This is where we should focus.

§ Growing the Campaign - Ideas • Share Success Stories

1. Start with the case studies 2. Does Royal Paper have any new customers interested in sharing a

testimonial? 3. APS – maybe do a case study

• Look into branding recycling containers – brand recognition

• Consider tagging on to existing events – to attract new/additional audiences. Limit to 4-5 this year. Key focus on Paper. At events, brand everything (winky face). It’s mostly about the message. A table is secondary importance

§ Consider these things when thinking about topics: • We need advocates! • We need Action Items! • Encouraging diversity to tap into a bigger audience • What is the demographic of the MWRSS? Who is invited, who attends?
