Summary

Placement drives form an integral

part of every institute as it endows

the opportunities to the students to

get employment in the well-known

and esteemed organizations. The

institute witnessed a great place-

ment session from 25th May 2013

to 1st June 2013 in a form of Mega

Job Fair 2013.

The theme of the event was identi-

fied as “Empowering Techno-

crats”, which meant that the tech-

nical students will be empowered

by receiving the ample opportuni-

ties to compete in the race and get

placed in established organiza-

tions. This 8-day event was a

grand success as the industry-

student interaction was at the

greatest peak and huge numbers of

students were selected.

Objective

The main objective of Job Fair

2013 was to to facilitate the stu-

dents in a way that they can get

exposed to not only to the curricu-

lum but also to the industry inter-

faces and to aid students in getting

placed with esteemed organiza-

tions where they can serve the

companies through their compe-

tencies and acquire their best prac-

tices.

Participation

The event witnessed a huge par-

ticipation of around 700 partici-

pants from varied colleges. Insti-

tute was elated to view such a

great number attending the event.

It was made sure that all the stu-

dents get a fair chance to get inter-

viewed from the companies pre-

sent at the fair.

Ltd. The inaugural function was held at 9:00 a.m. in the

presence of Dr. A. H. Shah, Principal of S.R.Patel En-

gineering College; Esteemed delegates representing

various companies; Mr. Bharat Chanchlani, Owner of

Ace India Consultancy who helped us to make this

event successful; Placement Team who has been con-

tinuously striving to make this event possible and the

candidates.

The event was mesmerized to see the enthusiasm of the

participants and the support reflected by the delegates.

The function started with the prayer as per the tradition

of the institute; following an address by respected prin-

cipal madam. The institute was ecstatic to host the

industry personnel and the same was shown

through a warm and hearty welcome given by the

faculties.

Examination

Succeeding to the inaugural function, the company dele-

gates gave a presentation regarding their offerings, com-

pany profile, duties and responsibilities, etc. It actually

helped the students to understand the profiles better and

also to prepare themselves before they appear for the inter-

views.

Some companies also choose to conduct written examina-

tions as a part of their scrutiny process which was scheduled

after the pre-placement talk.
