II. Getting started

1. Battery

In the original state, the battery is charged with about 50% of electricity, so it can be used immediately after unpacking. For the first three charges, fully charge it

after it is fully discharged before using. In this way, the battery can achieve the best performance.

1.3 Installing the microSD Card

Phone lock

The phone lock protects your phone from unauthorized use. The default phone lock code is 0000. You can change it into any numeric string of 4 to 8 digits.

If the phone lock function is enabled, you need to enter the correct phone lock code when the phone is powered on or in the standby mode.

Connecting to network

After SIM card is successfully unlocked, the phone will automatically search available network (with searching showing on the screen). Once the connection is made, the name of the service provider will be displayed on the lower right part of the text and graphic area. At this time your phone has been connected to the service network.

Note: If the screen prompts "Emergency ", this means you have moved out of the

normal network coverage (service range) or your card has not passed

authentication, but you can still transmit emergency calls based on signal

strength.

III. Basic functions

1. Making calls

When the logo of service provider appears on the display screen, you can dial or receive calls. The info bar at the upper left corner of the display screen shows network signal strength (when there are 5 info bars the signal is at its strongest).

The call quality is very likely to be affected by obstructions.

1.1 Making domestic calls

Enter phone number, and then press Dial Key to make the call. If the user needs to change phone number, press right soft key "Clear" back and delete numbers. Dialing animation will be displayed on the screen during dialing. Call state info will be shown on the screen after the called party ends the call You can enter and dial domestic call following the order: (Area code) (Phone number) (Dial)

1.2 Dialing landline phone extension

Some landline phone extension cannot be dialed directly. You need to dial the switchboard first, and then press “* +” for successive switching. Finally enter “P” and dial the extension number. To dial a landline phone extension, enter in the following sequence: Area code, switchboard number, P, extension number, and then press “Send” key.

1.3 Making international calls

To make an international call, press the “ * +” key to switch continuously until the prefix symbol “+” for international long-distance call appears on the screen, this will allow you to make a phone call in any country without knowing the local international phone number prefix (e.g. 86 in China). To make an international call, enter from the touch screen in the following sequence: “+”, country code, complete phone number, and then press the “Send” key. After entering the prefix number, enter the country code and complete phone number you want to dial. According to the usual practice, the country code of Germany is 49, Britain, 44, and Sweden, 46, and so on. Similar to making international call as usual, the “0” before the city‟s area code should be omitted while dialing. For example, to dial the number of Shanghai Service Hotline from other countries, enter: +86 21 114

1.4 Making phone calls from list

Every phone number you dialed or answered is stored in your handset‟s call records list. The recently dialed, answered and missed phone numbers are listed in the same interface by type. When the phone number list is full, the older number will be deleted automatically. To view the list, proceed with the following steps: In the idle state, touch the Dialer menu and select the Call Records menu to

view all call records. All phone numbers appearing in the list can be selected and dialed by

touching them from the call records. When the phone number list appears, click the number to view details; you

may further store or delete the number and so on by touching the related options.

2 Emergency calls

You may make emergency calls whenever you are within the network coverage (determined by checking the indicator bar for the network signal strength on the upper left corner of your handset‟s screen). If your network provider provides no roaming service in this area, “Emergency call only” (Emergency) will be displayed on the screen. If you are within the network coverage, you can make emergency calls even if you have no SIM card.

3. Answering phone calls

On the Incoming Call interface, click “Answer” to answer the incoming call; if an earphone is inserted, you may even answer the incoming call using the key on the earphone.

4 Call records

In addition to searching for recently missed calls, answered calls and dialed calls, your handset also summarizes the call billing, call time, SMS counts and GPRS flow for you. You can even delete the call records.

5. Call options

In call connected state, pressing left soft key “Options” can enter call option, or pressing "H-Free" to activate speaker, under activated-hands free condition, press OK key “H-held" to power off speaker. Operation methods of call options are the same with that of Function menu.

This call options can only be viewed during call process, moreover, the functions of call waiting, call holding, and conference calls need service support, please contact your service provider for details.

In the call options, you can make the following operations:

Hold Single Call: Make the current call hold.

End Single Call: End the current call.

New call: Enter new dialing interface.

Phone book: Enter Phone book menu.

Messaging: Enter Text Message menu.

Sound Recorder: Record the current call.

Background sound: Setup the voice changer for the calling.

Mute: Setting of switches, which disable transmission of local call when Mute function is on.

DTMF: Operations of DTMF powering on and off.

Conference*: Enter multiple party conference call state. By following the prompts, you can have the following functions: receive waiting calls, add them into multiple party call, maintain the multiple party call, talk privately with one party of the conference while maintaining all other callers, connect one party in the call conference with another party while exiting the multiple party call oneself, maintain one party of the multiple party call and end current call and all other maintained calls.

IV. Function menu descriptions

1. Dial

Enter a phone number by touching the numeric keypad with your finger, and then touch the Dialer icon to dial the number. You may also view the call records and contacts.

2. PHONEBOOK

Add new contact

In the Phonebook, add a new phone number entry to the SIM card or your handset. For the newly added phonebook entries, you may not only add name, number, e-mail, address and other information (e.g. birthday, remarks), but also set the following contents: Caller picture: Set a personalized caller picture for the current phone number

entry. You may select preset picture in your handset or a picture you took, or you may select a picture from the Folder under File Manager that can be previewed successfully and is of the right size to serve as personalized caller picture.

Caller ring tone: You may select built-in ring tones and customized ring tones.

Incoming caller groups: You may add the phone number entry stored in the phonebook to different groups by interaction properties.

Storage setting: Select to store in handset or SIM card 1/2.

3. CALL LOG

Enter the Call Records interface, touch and switch the tap pages at the bottom of the screen to view All Calls Dialed calls, Missed Calls and Received calls. Slide your finger upwards to select a phone number and touch the number to view type, phone number, call duration and call times. At the same time, you may select Save to Phonebook, Edit before Call, Send Message Add to Blacklist and Delete.

4. PROFILES

Your mobile phone provides a variety of Profiles, so as to facilitate you to configure individualized settings of tone setup, volume, alert type, ring type, extra tone, and answer mode. Pressing "Activate" can start using the selected Profiles.

5. FILE MANAGER

You can use File Manager to organize your files in folders in the memory card. If a memory card is inserted, the files stored on it are organized separately. Select Memory card and select Options to Open, Create folder, Rename, delete, sort and so on.

6. MESSAGING

6.1. Write msg

Create a new SMS message.

1、 Edit the SMS message contents;

2、 You may select Emotions, Templates and Insert (Picture, Video, Sound, File, Insert Contact Name, Insert Contact Number, Enter Bookmark, Slide);

3、 After editing, select Send to send the SMS/MMS message. Also, you may select Save, Insert and More. The More option includes Add Subject, CC/BC.

6. 2 Inbox

View received messages in Inbox sub-menu.

6.3 Drafts

Drafts stores SMS/MMS unprepared for sending for future revision and sending.

6.4 Outbox

Enter sent list to view messages you saved in your phone (including SIM1 card and SIM 2 card). In Outbox info list, press “view” to read detailed contents of the info.

6.5SentBox

Enter sent list to view SMS/MMS you saved in your phone (including SIM1 card and SIM 2 card).

6.6 Archive

To save your favorite messages.

6.7 Delete Box

Can choose delete messages from Inbox, Drafts, Outbox, Sent Box, Archive or all

messages.

6.8 Voicemail

You can edit voicemail and call voicemail.

6.9 Broadcast messages

Press (Ok) to enter this menu, and to set the parameter according to the menu hints. This function needs support from the OPERATER, please connect with them to activate this service.

6.10Templates

SMS: The phone is pre-set with 10 common phrases, which can be either edited or deleted. MMS: You can define templates, which can be edited and used.

6.11 Settings

You can set SMS, MMS and Service message.

7 IMAGE VIEWER

Entry the sub-menu of Image Viewer, you can conveniently view images that saved in Image Viewer shot by camera, and can View, Image information, Browse Style, Send, Use as, Rename, Delete, Sort by, Delete all, Storage

8. CAMCORDER

Under viewing condition, press the bottom icons to do the following operations. Press the right icon to capture a picture or film a video, tap camera/video icon to switch between camera mode and video mode. Tap settings icon, you can set camcorder, including General settings and Advance settings.

9. FM RADIO

FM radio interfaces, according to the options and can enter the following

features: Channel list: Storage channel, the channel can be carried out manually edit. Or from 'Preset Auto Search‟ automatic generation function. Manual input: can automatically jump to manually input channel. Auto Search: Automatically search available channels to store to the channel list. Settings: Set up Loud speaker, record format, audio quality and storage. Sound recorder: Can record the checked channel. Append: Add to My Documents. File list: Enter to MY Documents to look over the files. Note: Suggest you plug in your headphones as an antenna to listen to the radio.

10. MUSIC

In the main interface of music, there are many menus: Refresh library, now playing, all songs, Artists, Albums, and Genres. Press different menu to enter different tag interfaces. In the play interface, tap < list > and select settings: Player settings, Audio settings and Bluetooth settings.

11. EMAIL

Create the desired account by selecting the E-mail Setting Wizard and entering the password to complete creating an account. You may then write E-mail, Update E-mail Account and Set Overall Parameters of E-mail.

12. SETTINGS

12.1Phone settings

1. Dual SIM settings Dual SIM open: SIM1 and SIM2 are all power on. Only SIM1 open: SIM1 is power on, but SIM2 is power off. Only SIM2 open: SIM1 is power off, but SIM2 is power on. Flight mode: SIM1 and SIM2 are all power off. 2. Language To change the system language as you like. 3. Input methods To set the input method when you write messages, or edit character strings,

sometimes you also can changed the method during editing via „input method‟ but the preferred one is the default.

4. Greeting text To set the greeting text on/off 5. Schedule power On/Off There are four different times to set for the phone to auto power on/off

according to the setting type. Note: If the setting times are the same, it will cause failure, please set different

times. 6. UART settings You can select SIM1 or SIM2. 7. Font Setting You can select Font Size. 8. Restore factory settings

To restore the original device settings to do this, you need your phone lock code. After resetting, the device may take a longer time to power on. 9. G Sensor

12.2Call settings

For a general setting, including: SIM1/SIM2 call settings, Low battery protect, Blacklist, Auto redial, Background sound ,and so on.

12.3Display settings

In this menu, you can set such as: themes, wallpaper, power on display, power off display, LCD backlight, Screen Lock Type, etc.

12.4Connection settings

To set network selection mode and Preferred network for SIM 1/SIM 2.

13. BLUETOOTH

Power: on/off Bluetooth function Visibility: set this device is visible. Search for Bluetooth device: show the devices which had matched with my

device. Search hands-free device: show the devices which are hands-free. Device name: Show host device name, you can change device name. Advanced options: Include the following: Set audio path: set up voice to transfer path for Bluetooth headset or remain in

the machine. Storage: set up the storage, such as phone, memory card, or always ask. Bluetooth device address: show my address.

14. SOUND RECORDER

Enter the Recorder menu and click the red circle to start recording. Click the “List" to view the recorded recording files. Select a file to play it. Click “Settings”, and then click Option to enter the Record Setting menu to set the storage location and file format.

15. OPERA

Opera is a browser developed by Opera Software, ASA. Using the Opera browser, you may easily browse various web pages on your handset. You can

also set the opera in the Advanced Options; select a different card,or use

wireless Internet access。

16. MEGAGATE WORLD ICON

Megagate world icon is the game package

17. WORLD CLOCK

The World Clock feature greatly facilitates those who run around all over the world. The use of it is also quite simple. Enter the World Clock screen and click on the world map and the city in the time zone you clicked will appear.

18. STOPWATCH

It provides common stop watch for keeping time.

19. CALENDAR

When entering the Calendar submenu, the calendar of the current month is displayed on the screen with the current date marked with a background frame of special color. By touching the date directly, you may browse the date, and the calendar information on the screen updates correspondingly.

20. EBOOK

The phone supports reading files in the *.txt format, which is ideal for reading an e-Book. Store the *.txt files in the EBook folder, and then you can read them in E-Book reader.

21. WLAN

You need turn on wireless local network first. Press options and select connect wireless. Also you can select add, define access point, WLAN status, disable WLAN and update option.

You can enter a list of menu options for wireless,If you click disable WLAN, then

WLAN is off ,If you click enable WLAN,then WLAN is on.

22. ALARM

Enter the Alarm Clock menu and select Add to add an alarm. Slide the up / down scroll bar to set the alarm time. You may also set it to Repeat, Ring Tone, Vibrate and Label. Select "Save" to complete the Alarm setting.

23. TASK

It displays all notes for today and the future days, under the option menu, it is

possible to View, Add, Edit, Search, Delete, Delete overdue, Delete all, etc Select Add: Add a new task. You may set the Subject, Priority, Due Time, Reminder and Remarks. Select "Save" to complete task adding.

24. NOTES

It displays all notes for today and the future days, under the option menu, it is possible to View, Edit, New note, Mark several, Delete.

25. AZAAN ALARM

Azaan alarm clock is worship

26. ANS.MACHINE

Including leaving messages and settings. In settings option, you can set auto answer, storage, pick up time, record duration and so on.

27. Cy.CONCENTER

You can set the rate.

28. POWERTOOL

Power tool is STK card information.

29. CALCULATOR

30. SECURITY SETTINGS

To manage your mobile phone security. 1. SIM 1/SIM 2 Security Settings To adjust the security settings for SIM card, include SIM Card lock, fixed dial,

barred dial and change password. 2. Phone lock To change the phone lock status, if the status is on, the password is needed

when power on. Note: the default password is 0000.Please change it as soon as possible after

you get your mobile phone. 3. Screen lock Set up automatic locking the keyboard (off, 10sec / 30 sec / 1min/ 5 min) 4. Change password You can change your phone password. 6. Mobile tracker After entering the password of mobile tracker (0000), you can change the

status and settings. A. Status: On/Off this function by Left soft key. B. Settings: enter to the Settings, user need to input the following

information‟s: Mobile tracker password: You can set a new password. Bonding Phone: Set the phone number which will receive the tracker

message. Preset content: set the message content when the tracker message was

sent automatically. The default is: Your phone has been stolen.

After changing SIM card, phone will send a message to the tracker number. The mobile tracker password is "0000" by default.

31. UNITCONVERT

You may carry out conversions of weight, length.

32. ZAKAT CALCULATOR

This calculator will show the ZAKAAT that is due on you. It should work with any currency i.e. Dollars, Pounds, and Rupees etc. But please be consistent and use the same currency throughout! You need to know the current Market price of Gold and/or Silver. To obtain the value of your Gold or Silver Assets simply multiply the cash value by the weight.

33. TIME&DATE

You can set home city, time/date, format, time zone bound with time and auto update time.

34. YOUTUBE

YouTube is a video-sharing website on which users can upload, view and share

videos

35. FACEBOOK

Facebook is a very popular social networking site around the world giving people the power to share and make the world more open and connected. Millions of people use Facebook everyday to keep up with friends uploads an unlimited number of photos, share links and videos, and learn more about the people they meet. Please ensure that you have GPRS settings in your phone to open Facebook. Contact your operator for GPRS settings, or you can also use the WLAN login Facebook.

36. YAHOO MESSENGER

Yahoo messenger is a network of real-time voice communication tool。It is a

social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them. People use Facebook to keep up with friends, Colleagues,

schoolmate。

37. MSN

MSN is instant messaging software produced by Microsoft. Using MSN, you may communicate instantly with your relatives, friends and working pals in a manner of text chat, voice talk, and video conferencing and so on. You may also check whether your contact is online using this software.

38. TWITTER

Twitter is a social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them. People use Twitter to keep up with friends, Colleagues, schoolmate.

39. SKYPE

Skype is a software application that allows users to make voice and video calls and chats over the Internet. Calls to other users within the Skype service are free.

40. eBuddy

Ebuddy can enter the website. You can choose a different landing page

program,such as MSN, facebook, yahoo and other applications.

41. JAVA

41.1 Java

This phone support Java applications. After installing java application, it will appear in this menu.

41.2 Java settings

Do some java settings such as Java audio, Java backlight, Java vibration, Java network…etc

41.3 Java default security

Do some java default security settings such as Third-party, Un-trusted domain, Restore default…etc.

42. SYNCML

You can set phone sync, including sync, applications to sync and phones.

43. APPS STORE

The App Store is an online Store that allows users to download and/or buy games and application that runs on MEGAGATE devices.

V ATTENTION AND PRECAUTIONS

44. Safety

44.1 For your safety

Remember to comply with legal requirements and local restrictions when using the phone, for example, in aero plane, petrol stations, hospital or while

driving

Always keep your hands free to operate the vehicle while driving. Your first consideration while driving should be road safety. Don‟t use handset while driving.

As per the law, phone should not be used at refueling point near fuel or chemicals.

Mobile phones can interfere with the functioning of medical devices such as hearing aids or pacemakers. Keep at least 20 cm(9 inches) between the phone and pacemaker. When using the mobile phone hold it to the ear which is furthest away from the pacemaker. For more information, consult your doctor.

All wireless phones may be susceptible to interference, which could affect performance. The phone may cause interference in the vicinity of TV sets, radios and PCs.

The mains voltage (V) specified on the power supply unit must not be

exceeded. Otherwise the charging device may be damaged. The power supply must be plugged into an easily accessible AC mains power

socket when charging the battery. The only way to turn off the charging device after charging the battery is to unplug it.

Only qualified personnel may install or repair this product.

When connecting to any other product, read its user guide for detailed safety instructions. Do not connect incompatible products.

Use only approved enhancements and batteries. Do not connect incompatible products.

44.2 Security Requirements

Before making or answering a call, you should pay attention to the local laws about the use of wireless mobile phones and take them into account in practical use.

Traffic safety Pay attention to traffic safety. Do not use your mobile phone while driving.

Park before making or answering a call. Flight Safety Please turn off your GSM mobile phone before the airplane takes off in order

to protect airplane‟s communication system from interference. Using mobile phone before the plane taking off should get aircrew‟s

permission according to safety regulations. Environment Safety Do not use your mobile phone near precision electronic equipment. Radio

wave interference may cause malfunctioning of such electronic equipment and other problems.

Operating of mobile phone may interfere with medical devices like hearing aids and pacemakers.

Do not use your phone in a potentially dangerous atmosphere. Please strictly observe with the restrictions on the use of wireless devices.

44.3 Maintenance

Battery instructions When the phone automatically turns off or indicates the alarm information of

power shortage, please charge the battery in time. For the first few times, please charge the battery fully. When not in use, please separate the battery with power supply. Overcharging

will shorten the life of the battery. Do not expose your products to extreme high or low temperatures. Caution Risk of explosion if battery replaced aced by an incorrect type.

Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.

Operating temperature range: -10 ℃ ~ +55 ℃

Do not use damaged battery. Do not expose your mobile phone to direct sunlight or in hot areas. High
