Melanie Wenrick Fresno State Instructor Elementary Math Methods
Wersquove all heard this at family or social gatherings ldquoIrsquom not good at mathrdquo We might have even uttered these words ourselves
From Melanie Wenrickrsquos perspective mathematics gets a bad rap and changing peoplersquos perception and intimidation of working with numbers is her professional mission
ldquoNone of us would say lsquoIrsquom not good at readingrsquo rdquo she says
As a Fresno State instructor Melanie teaches teachers and future teachers to free themselves and their students of their preconceived notions about math and take an upbeat approach
