Haley Joosten Women’s Track & Field Sophomore Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Assumption H.S. WHITEWATER - St. Norbert College finished in sixth place at the UW-Whitewater War- hawk Classic held at Kachel Fieldhouse. The St. Norbert distance medley relay picked up St. Norbert’s lone event cham- pionship. Malgorzata Waz, Julie Schroder, Crystal Combs and Haley Joosten teamed up to turn in a time of 13:37.90. Brittany Kozlowski was second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:18.69. Her time is currently the 18th fastest in the country. Erin Artz was second in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:27.17. Artz is currently ranked 36th in the Nation in the 3K and 32nd in the 5K! St. Norbert was second in the 4x200-meter relay. Mara Aparnieks, Angel Hon, Taylor Wenzel and Sa- mantha Morateck ran a time of 1:54.12. Lisa Baeten finished third in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:37.22. MARQUETTE, Mich. - St. Norbert College competed in the unscored Northern Chal- lenge hosted by Northern Mich- igan University in the Superior Dome. Ryan Grandlic had the mo- ment of the day in Marquette as he held off a strong surge from a Michigan Tech runner to help the SNC men to victory in the 800m relay by under a tenth of a second! Other event winners for the Green Knights included: Austin Livingston in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.35 seconds. and Randy Hill who was first in the long jump with a distance of 21 feet 5 1/2 inches. Hayden Hoffmann and Andrew Lemay were second and third, respectively, in the 1-mile run. Hoffmann had a time of 4:33.62, while Lemay had a time of 4:41.86. Brad Boockmeier was second in the shot put at 48- 1/2. Taylor Pasterski was third in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.80 seconds. Tyler Lewis was third in the 200 at 23.75 seconds. The St. Norbert 4x400-meter relay quartet of Akeem Edmonds, Pasterski, Livingston and Lewis won with a time of 3:26.77. The Green Knights’ 4x200-meter relay also won with a time of 1:33.51. 10 Questions For...Ashley BondarowiczSenior Ashley Bondarowicz(South Elgin, IL./St. Charles North H.S.) is a three-year letterwinner on the Green Knight track & field team specializing in the long and triple jump. Bondarowicz is majoring in Communications & Art/Graphic Design

Q: Why did you choose St. Norbert? A: The small class sizes and growing up in a larger city it was important to me that the campus was friendly

Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete? A: One of the greatest hockey players Wayne Gretzky

Q: What was your favorite class taken at St. Nor-bert?

A: Political Communications W/ Dr. Glantz and Advertising Design W/ Dr. Pirman

Q: Who was your favorite childhood cartoon char-acter?

A: Scooby- Doo and Arthur were classics back in my day

Q: What’s the one movie you must have in your movie collection?

A: Miracle if I’m in the mood for motivation, but I’d have to go with Happy Gilmore for classic humor

Q: What’s your fondest memory as a St. Norbert athlete?A: Jumper practices or just ask them about all the times

I’ve face planted at jumper practice. Placing 6th at conference Jr. year and breaking my personal best by almost a foot in Triple Jump.

Q: What’s currently hanging from your dorm room/apartment wall?A: Pictures of my family and friends, in addition to some

of my artwork.

Q: What is your favorite breakfast cereal?A: I’m obsessed with anything granola, in particular dark- chocolate almond granola Cereal

Q: Other than your sporting event, what is your favorite campus activity?

A: Hanging out with friends or playing sand volleyball

Q: What’s the one word that best describes your team?

A: Family /Supportive

The 2015 Senior Class had an idea this winter to begin a weekly tradition of presenting a Norby Knight to the top 4 performances within the team. The first week the Seniors voted on two male and two female athletes who had outstanding performances/personal bests at the meet.

After the second meet of the season, the athletes that currently held the Norby Knights passed them down to teammates they determined from the meet over the weekend. This will continue throughout the remainder of the Indoor season and into the Outdoor season. The athletes listed below are the first 12 honorees!
