Program: The weekend team camp for high school varsity and junior varsity teams is limited to the first 25 teams registered. The camp emphasizes game experience. While teams have practice time, the goal is to have teams play as many games as possible over the three days. Teams will play up to three games the first day, four on the second day, and two on the final day. Each game will have two, 16-minute halves, with official time kept. PIAA officials call many of the games, along with scorers and time keepers, thereby allowing coaches to work with their teams.

Assistant Coach Brian Scholly

Biography: Former Juniata student-athlete Brian Scholly begins his third season on the Eagles bench, where he serves as an assistant coach to head coach Greg Curley.

Scholly, a 2014 graduate of Juniata, returned to Huntingdon after spending the 2014-15 season as an assistant men’s basketball coach at the Maine

Maritime Academy in Castine, ME. He has also worked at different basketball camps across the country, including the HoopGroup Academic Elite Camps and camps at the United States Naval Academy and Yale University.

Scholly was a four-year member of the Eagles’ men’s basketball program from 2010 to 2014 and a part of the most successful senior class in Juniata history. He finished his

basketball career with 1,318 points and holds school records for 3-point field goals made, 3-point field goals attempted, and 3-point field goal percentage.

Scholly received his bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Secondary Education from Juniata in 2014.

3Things to Bring to Camp

Facilities: Few colleges have a more attractive campus than Juniata. The 100 acres on College Hill provide a magnificent atmosphere and safe environment. Campers are housed in one of the residence halls on campus and have access to all the amenities in the residence hall.

Additional facilities available include an indoor swimming pool and a fitness center.

Coach Greg Curley

Biography: Having just completed his 16th season at the helm of the Juniata men’s basketball program, Curley has the most wins in program history. His 2013-14 team won a second consecutive ECAC South Region Championship after capturing the program’s first title in 2012-13. Curley’s teams have reached four conference championship games in the past nine seasons and earned ECAC tournament bids in the ’06–’07, ’07–’08, ’11–’12, ’12–’13, ’13–’14, and ’15–’16 campaigns. Under his direction, Juniata has adopted the philosophy of being the “hardest working team in basketball.”
