A Merlin service usually takes about 3 hours followed by 8 hours of testing. During the service the following procedures are carried out: Full dis-assembly and cleaning of the main piston assembly. Cleaning and polishing of the interior face of the piston to minimise friction. Leak testing of the main piston assembly Replacement of the internal bacterial filters Cleaning of all internal airways with F10 anti-microbial solution Full dis-assembly, cleaning and re-assembly of the Inspiratory and Expiratory Valves Solenoid Valve closure performance and leak testing Re-calibration of pressure monitoring modules Re-assembly of the main piston assembly Leak testing of the whole Merlin machine Performance testing of Merlin Electrical safety testing of Merlin Once completed the annual service will return your Merlin to as-new performance. To keep Merlin in prime condition please ensure that the servicing interval does not exceed 12 months. Following a Merlin service your service engineer or service department will issue you with a Service Certificate, which you should keep for your records.

Merlin Service Procedure

Your Merlin is a precision instrument that needs to be maintained annually to keep it safe and in full working order. A Merlin service usually takes about 3 hours followed by 8 hours of testing. During the service the following procedures are carried out:

• Full dis-assembly and cleaning of the main piston assembly.
