“I Hope You Know”
Several years ago, an author entitled his book, “The Windshield Is Bigger Than The Rearview Mirror.” His intent and the thrust of the book sought to emphasize the all too real temptation we often face in looking at the “what ifs” and “if only” of our life choices and life circumstances.
God never intended for His children to be consumed and burdened by the past. Whether it be our sin, our circumstances, or even ourselves,
God’s desire is for us to look to the future He holds. He’s called it the “abundant life” (John 10:10), the “goal for prize” (Philippians 3:14), and the “perfect” life in Christ (Colossians 1:28).
While this space will not permit me the adequate area needed to tell of the many personal impacts of 2017, I can see the highway markers in the rearview mirror of life. Some markers point to successes while others mark sorrows. Yet each marker is also shared with a family and fellowship of God’s people, that richly bless. Looking out the windshield, God is there, ever before us, and all is well. I hope you know, we are indebted to your fellowship and friendship of the faith. Blessings to you all for a prosperous 2018.
