Metal Fabrication
In 1983, G&H was a simple metal stamping shop
providing hard-tooled sheet metal stamped parts
produced on flywheel punch presses. Today we offer vastly
wider fabrication capabilities, allowing us to produce
complex weldments, CNC punched components, sheet
metal enclosures, highly-detailed and accurate laser cut
components and many other sophisticated fabrications.
Combine our fabrication capabilities with the CNC
machining expertise and our customers have a complete
one-stop shop for their project needs.
More specifically, G&H offers fabrication expertise in the
following disciplines:
•Flat and tubular laser cutting
•CNC sheet metal stamping
•Hard-tooled stamping
•Tool and die services
•Hard tooled forming
•Brake forming
•Tig, Mig and FluxCore welding
•CNC tube bending (round and N-shaped)
•Sawing
•Grinding
Fabricating accounts for 120,000 sq. ft. of our total of
170,000 sq. ft. of shop space. All of this space is dual-
crane equipped and is flexible to allow us to handle
large weldments or tens of thousands of 1/2” steel clips.
We are comfortable with 1” thick steel plate or 0.005”
thick stainless foil. Over the 54 years of our existence,
there is not much we have not seen in the metals
fabrication industry.
ENGINEERING SUPPORT
G&H takes a very advanced approach to weldments
and assemblies. We use our Solidworks design software
and our MasterCam CAD/CAM to engineer Slot and Tab
designs, which are the preferred construction method for
sheet metal joints because they provide the most accurate
positioning at the lowest cost.
LASER CUTTING
G&H operates a state-of-the-art contract laser production
facility. In the processing of tubular materials, we have
no equal. Our capability is an advanced manufacturing
process – computer-controlled to produce parts with
precision and repeatability at very affordable prices.
G&H has complete production design systems with up to
4,000 watts of cutting power, allowing for the process of
round, square, rectangular and N-sided tubular products
in lot sizes ranging from as small as five pieces up to
thousands.
Our laser machines often provide the most effective
process for cutting plate or sheet metal for sheet metal
fabrication, including carbon steel, stainless steel,
aluminum and many other alloys. Our latest Trumpf
TruLaser 7000 Tube is one of the fastest laser tube cutting
machines on the market today. It allows us to cut very
complex products such as tubular charge tubes for the
oil & gas industry in a matter of seconds. G&H offers
complete contract and custom laser cutting services, total
engineering capability, and full CAD/CAM capability.
Large Diameters and Wall Thickness: Our Trumpf TruLaser
Tube 7000 offers plenty of advantages. It cuts tubes and
profiles with large diameters and wall thicknesses without
sacrificing productivity. It processes tubes and profiles up
to 10” in diameter with wall thicknesses of up to 0.3” in
mild steel.
Most Economical Solution: G&H has traditional flat cutting
systems with table sizes up to 72” x 144”, power up to
3,000 watts, and material exchange tables for increased
productivity. Each machine is a 4-axis cutting system
ready for tubular cutting, and is also equipped with an
auto-handling fixture. These dual mode machines provide
the most economical solution for metal cutting.
Advanced Flat Cutting: We have the most advanced flat
cutting machines in the industry with 4,000 watts of laser
cutting power. These machines have “super-speed” flying
axes that minimize cut-to-cut times to a fraction of the
traditional machine move times. The high power allows
these cutting systems to process 1/2” stainless steel
with burr-free precision or thin gage steel with unbounded
speed.
Cost Efficient and Ultimate Flexibility: Our laser cutting
equipment includes long bed, 4-axis lasers with power
ranging from 1,500 to 3,000 watts to deliver cost efficient
flexibility. Each machine is equipped with through-bore
chucking up to 6” diameter. The 1,500 and 1,800 watt
machines cut thin wall tubing up to 3/16” with better
accuracy, no burrs and a smooth finish, while maintaining
a competitive cost in comparison to other mechanical
processes. All cutting systems are equipped to process
tubular materials up to 5/8” thick and up to 24” in
diameter, and they allow for cutting up to 24’ in length
without indexing.
Cutting Large Volumes of Tubular Products: G&H has
automatic production tube cutting cells with 3,200
watts of cutting power. Each machine is equipped with
fully-automatic tube feeders up to 30’, minimizing the
challenges and cost of producing large volumes of tubular
products. These machines offer the ultimate in power,
accuracy and cost reductions as well as tolerances of
+/- 0.005” in profiling or cut-to-length.
WELDING
G&H offers a variety of welding services supported by
advanced welding equipment and skilled craftsmen. We
are ISO and AWS certified with many years of experience
in both Gas Metal Arc Welding/Metal Inert Gas (MIG
Welding) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)/Tungsten
Inert Gas (TIG Welding). The MIG and TIG welding
processes grant our highly-skilled operators greater control
for stronger, more consistent welds.
Specialists in Mig and Tig Welding: G&H has a large
in-house capability for aluminum, carbon steel, stainless
steel, cast iron and bronze welding. We have the ability to
handle stock up to 40’ long, 12’ square, with a minimum
thickness of 0.0030” and we have the equipment to
handle pieces up to 20,000 pounds. We can build custom
fixtures for production and no job is too small. G&H
provides field fabrication services for clients who need
welders on-site for their projects. Our highly-experienced
team of welding technicians can certify to any standards
required.
METAL STAMPING, TOOL & DIE
G&H has been building hard tooling and producing
production stampings since 1958. Today we continue
to be leaders in this area of fabrication with tonnage
Metal Fabrication
capabilities ranging from 25 through 175 tons. All of
these machines are coil-ready with modern servo-drive
feeds and straighteners. Our wide range of press tonnage
and bed sizes can produce metal stamping solutions to
meet virtually every challenge. We also offer four-slide and
multi-slide capabilities, as well as standard progressive
and compound produced parts.
We are a complete metal stamping supplier with in-house
hard tooling expertise. Our tool builders are experts in
producing stage, progressive, compound or drawing tools
and associated fixturing for efficient production.
Combining our tooling and stamping capabilities with our
in-house EDM, heat treating, and precision machining
capabilities makes G&H a single source for tooling
construction, repair and maintenance. Whether our
customers are blanking, forming, or drawing, we can
supply quality hard tooling at a reasonable cost.
Our four-slide/multi-slide capabilities for producing high
volumes of small sheet metal parts take G&H customers
well beyond traditional punch press stamping. These
machines allow our customers to acquire low cost
stampings with minimum tooling charges due to the
inherent flexibilities of these machines. For high volume
users of sheet metal stampings this option will more than
meet their needs.
Finally, G&H is equipped to produce low volume stampings
and sheet metal components using low-cost “quick tools,”
press brakes and other sheet-metal equipment.
TUBE BENDING
Tube bending has long been a need to many across a
broad range of industries from oil & gas to structural
engineering to automotive and sport utility vehicles. G&H
has invested capital as well as maintained a team of
experienced operators to provide the highest quality tube
bending services.
Because our tube benders are capable of bending and
forming both round and square bars and tubes, we offer
the most flexible and broad range of services for our
customers. In addition, we are capable of both roll and
push bending, as well as having the ability to stack our
tooling. This allows for multiple diameters to be bent on
the same part simultaneously providing the most cost
effective solution for multiple bends per part.
G&H provides the following tube bending benefits:
•Both round and square capabilities; able to roll and push
bend tubing
•Ability to bend up to 3.15” round and 2.36” square
tubing with a maximum length of 240” long
•Stackable tooling allows for simultaneous bending of
multiple radii on the same part
•Repeatable accuracy of 1/100th of a degree with
electric machinery making it more reliable than a
hydraulic bender which is effected by ambient and
machine temperatures
CNC PUNCHING
G&H has variety of different punch presses including a
fully-automated CNC punching center. Our Trumpf TruPunch
2020 center is extremely fast and can not only punch
holes, but will tap threads, mark, offset, emboss, form
flanges and even deburr parts. It punches 900 holes per
minute and travels at speeds in excess of 4,000 inches
per minute. This advanced equipment allows us to produce
high quality, sheet metal fabrications in high volumes at a
reasonable cost and in a timely fashion.

precision surface grinding to centerless grinding to honing.
We have highly skilled operators to provide precision
ground surfaces, either to achieve a critical size or surface
finish. Our honing equipment can handle parts with an ID
of 3” to 27”.
Our automated Chevalier FSG3A1224 surface grinding
machine produces high tolerance parts with a mirror-like
surface finish, while meeting flatness, parallelism and
squareness requirements. G&H also has two manual
Chevalier surface grinders. Known as the “workhorses of
the grinding industry,” these machines provide slip-free,
smooth and accurate table movement, superior accuracy
and finish, and excellent rigidity and superior dampening
during heavy machining. We regularly achieve tolerances
of +/- 0.0001”.
SAW CUTTING
From lasers to band saws, G&H has a solution for most
metal cutting needs. We have machines that can cut
almost any material including wood, plastic and steel. We
regularly cut a wide variety of material from shim stock to
heavy plate. We have the ability to cut titanium, inconel,
hasteloy, cobalt, brass, bronze and many more metals.
Our horizontal band saws can cut various types of tube,
rod or extrusions. Many of these saws are automated
and programmable for repeatable quality and increased
throughput. In addition, we have shearing capabilities
most often used in conjunction with another cutting
process such as laser cutting in order to make long
straight cuts. By having in-house cutting capabilities, G&H
saves time and money for its customers.
