MIAMI BEACH PAL- 2019 OVERVIEW PAGE 2

The Miami Beach Police Athletic League ... Founded in 1958, the Miami Beach Police Athletic League (oldest PAL in Florida) has an impressive track record as a community crime prevention program. Under the leadership of a full-time police officer as Executive Director, and with vital assistance from a volunteer board made up of citizens and local law enforcement officers, PAL offers the youth and the community an array of recreational, athletic and educational activities. Programs are designed to foster positive relationships between youth, law enforcement, and the community cultivating concerned community leaders. For over 50 years, thousands of youth (ages six to twenty-one) have been involved with PAL programs.
