Miami Jackson Senior High School 2014 Prom Rules & Regulations
NON ATTENDANCE IS NOT A REASON FOR A REFUND.
ALL PROM TICKETS ARE NONTRANSFERABLE AND NONREFUNDABLE!
The dress code for the evening is FORMAL and applies to ALL attendees. The purchaser of the ticket is responsible
for informing his or her guest of the dress and behavioral codes and will be held responsible if his or her guest does
not conform to those codes. Those who are denied entrance or rejected from the prom will not be issued a refund.
Female Attire:
Dresses that are strapless or with spaghetti straps are allowed.
Dresses made from completely see-through fabric are NOT allowed.
Backless dresses are allowed if they do not expose skin below the waist.
Two-piece dresses are allowed if the rib & abdominal areas are covered.
Slits on dresses may be no higher than mid-thigh.
Dress length should be no shorter than mid-thigh.
Necklines should be appropriate for a school-sponsored dance. V-necks may NOT be lower than the bottom of
the breastbone.
Pants suits are allowed.
Jeans of any kind are NOT allowed.
Male Attire:
Tuxedos and suits must be worn with a dress shirt and tie and/or cummerbund/vest.
Clean dress shoes must be worn. Sandals are NOT allowed.
Jeans of any kind are not allowed.
Baseball caps, headbands, bandanas, skullies, scarves, and masks, are NOT allowed.
All attendees must present either a current School ID or Driver’s license/Florida Identification card along with the
MJSH Prom 2014 ticket at the registration table before entering the prom. If you do not have an ID, you will not be
allowed to enter. Once you exit the ballroom, you may not return.
Only MJSH Juniors and Seniors may purchase prom tickets. Seniors must have financial obligations paid,
Community services completed and recorded, and not have any outstanding disciplinary issues before a ticket
may be purchased. Dates who do not attend MJSH must be a junior or senior and enrolled in a Miami Dade
high school. Students purchasing tickets for their date that do not attend MJSH, must present a copy of that
student’s current Student ID with ID number prior to the issuance of a 2014 Prom Ticket.
No alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, tobacco products or mood modifiers are permitted either before or
during the event. STUDENTS WHO DO NOT ADHERE TO THE GUIDELINES PRESENTED HEREIN
WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE PROM AND WILL BE SUBJECT TO ARREST AND DISCIPLINARY
ACTION BY THE SCHOOL, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, SUSPENSION AND NOT
ATTENDING GRADUATION, THE ADMINISTRATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO EXCLUDE OR
EXPEL ANY PERSON FROM THE PROM WHO APPEARS TO BE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF
DRUGS AND/OR ALCOHOL.
Please remember, this is a school sponsored event. The dress for the evening is formal. Please dress and behave in an appropriate and
respectful manner so everyone attending can enjoy the beautiful evening planned for you by the class of 2015 officers and sponsor.
