Factories which we represent are implementing many changes specifically geared to having a positive impact on the environment as well as the communities in which we operate. There is a strong commitment to a more environmentally friendly approach in all our activities and an Environmental Management System has been developed to:

• Set and achieve aggressive environmental objectives• Convert fossil fuel equipment to new sustainable bio mass

equipment wherever possible• Conform to applicable laws and standards through continual

SUSTAINABLE GREEN MANUFACTURING

ENERGY Vapor Absorption Chillers used to cool down water Unlike electrical chillers, these are powered by heat. They can run on a variety of heat sources, e.g. steam, hot water, liquid/gaseous fuels, exhaust gases or a combination of above.

ENERGY Five Bio-mass heaters using sawdust /Gliricidia and rubber woodSaving 15 million liters of imported fossil fuel per year

ENERGY Water and air pre-heaters to utilize waste heat to preheat the water for our production processes

ENERGY LED lights – 2100 large & 861 small tube lights been converted into LED tube light

ENERGY Solar Power System – Installing 102 KW solar panels able to generate 450 electrical units/day. In 1st phase, it will be used in day time for offices

ENERGY VFD Inverters – Installed 118 VFD’S of different rating on inductive motors that would be able to save up to 81 units/hr electrical consumption

MATERIAL DMF recycling plant currently recovers 90,000 liters of DMF per month

ENVIRONMENTAL CARE Waste Water treatment plants –Onsite facilities to treat waste waters so that pollutant concentrations in it comply with the local regulations regarding disposal of waste waters into community treatment plants

ENVIRONMENTAL CARE Effluent treatment plant – As a certified ISO 14000 company, PSL is in process to install about 275 m3/day capacity plant by the end of 2015
