Delayed for a couple hours by the heavy traffic

in the morning

Trying to make it home to my babies

One young and plush

With her red face flushed

I was tlking to my main bitch about art once.

Telling her about the Hellenistic motifs that are

in Roman art. She had always said she got

confused on them. The difference between the

Romans and the Greeks. She is so simple.

But there was this period in Greek art

were they broke away from fixed stagnant

forms and produced some of their most brilliant

stuff. It was a reflection of the liberation that

was happening on a social level. All their citystates werentso fixed and the despots were

starting to get tied into the idea of a United

Greek Identity or something.

Hell I cant remember. I just know that

the art was a reflection of social liberation.

I mean their stuff got pretty weird. Like

androgyny and violence. Everything was really

boisterous and grand. I like that shit.

Decadence, and opulencebut Im so far away

from it you know. I mean hell I had to spend

half my paycheck just to get that Coach she had

her eye on.

Sometimes I tell her things like I can

appreciate Neo Expressionism (Like

Basquiat) but Im just saying the technical

execution of a lot of European art shits on

modern art. Fuck that you can express anything

you want however you want to rhetoric and all

the bitches that get behind it. Art istechnicality. Form.

Absence

Absence plays an important role in Alains piece. Space helps to draw out the totality of

the two opposed figures. The piece culminates and takes form over the wander of the eye across

MADRE TO (kids with Sickle Cell) pt.1

Soft static bounced over the warm plumes of air that swelled throughout that room. Thats what I

remember. That was the best memory.

Seeing him sleep there on my couch, no pain, cartoons on. Everything was quiet. It was warm.

There were times I saw him stir a little bit in his sleep, and I wondered if it was because of the

nightmares.

I went into the kitchen and had made myself some tea, and I watched him from there. I thought

about kids and how it would be nice.

How it would be nice to have someone. Then he stirred some more. Then he began to twist and

throw off his covers. Screaming.
