Directories - On-Premises registered endpoints
On-premises registered endpoints Get Directories from CUCM or TMS:
• By default usually include phones, on-prem video devices and Jabber Users
• Can be extended manually or through LDAP Sync, adding Cloud registered endpoints

Directories - Cloud registered endpoints
Cloud registered Endpoint get Directory from the Spark cloud:
• Include only Spark users and Cloud registered endpoints
• Cannot be extended with manual entries for «external» addresses
Two options to dial from a cloud registeded endpoint:• Manually typing the remote address from the Touch UI
• Pairing with the Spark App and use it as remote controller (manual typing or copy and paste from a global directory)

Miscellaneous Considerations
• Licensing - Cisco Flex Plan is your best friend!
• Migration & Coexistence
• Design the solution considering the target Use Cases (see next slide for an example)
• Test/Pilot carefully to evaluate all the possible difference/caveats
• End User training is crucial - https://collaborationhelp.cisco.com is a good starting point
• Post Sales support
• WebEx/Spark TAC has slight different case management and escalation process
• Internet connections become now fundamental for troubleshooting analysis

CUCM
Spark/WebEx Cloud
EXP-C EXP-E
• Avoid providing multiple overlapping services to the same user – it would be a nightmare!
• It’s fine to implement & support different services for clearly distinct Use Cases
• A common scenario could be:
• CMS/CMM based conferences for «White Glove» service
• WebEx based Personal Room conferences for widespread utilization

Network Considerations
• Traffic engineering
• Internet breakouts
• WAN / MPLS
• QoS - WebEx traffic
• is tagged automatically via NBAR2 where available
• If NBAR is not available then port based tagging is needed on the network devices
• audio and video are indistinguishable [UDP 9000] if tagging manually
• WebEx is doing encoder pacing, rate adaption, FEC today
• QoS - Spark Clients/Rooms traffic
• is tagged automatically w/DSCP values built in
• audio/video are distinguished automatically
• softclients and room systems/devices use well known distinct port ranges
• support MARI, multistream & hybrid media node to keep traffic on-prem
© 2018 Cisco and/or its affiliates. All rights reserved. Cisco Public
Security Considerations
• Determine your customer’s network environment
• Switch port configuration
• VLANs
• Firewall Deployment
• Proxy Type
• Proxy Feature Usage
• Check the capabilities of the Spark devices you plan to deploy and use the features as required
• For Spark devices that do not support specific features today
• There are bypass methods available
• Contact your Cisco representative to have an update on the roadmap

Cloud registered endpoints administration
• All administration of Spark-registered SX, MX, DX, and Room Kit endpoints is accomplished through the Spark Control Hub (admin.ciscospark.com)
• Direct access to the codec web interface or API is automatically disallowed when the endpoint is registered to Spark
• However, the following features are allowed for:
• In-Room Controls
• Limited integrator controls for setting up PresenterTrack, controlling audio sources, making small Room’s interface customizations.
• Evaluate carefully if there are specific customizations that require full admin right

Migrating Video Infrastructure to the CloudSummary
• Cisco Cloud Services provide multiple benefits and User Experience enhancements
• There are multiple On-premises / Cloud possible combinations to consider
• End User experience is crucial for a successful migration project
• Choose the best scenario to implement considering your environment and the
expected User Experience
