Mindstorms NXT / EV3 Robotics Challenges Students will build a program in the lego Mindstorm NXT or EV3 software to complete the obstacle courses illustrated below. Materials: Variety of coloured electric tape, computer with Mindstorm software, NXT or EV3 robot (base model) Challenge #1: The Starter (50 minutes) Create a program that navigates your robot from the green start line to the red stop line. The robot must start and stop exactly on the lines for challenge to be completed! Challenge #2 : The Race (40 minutes) Create a program that gets your robot to the finish line first. Each racer must start and end on the same line. Robot #1 Robot #2 Challenge #3: Sumo Wrestlers (30 minutes) Create a program that keeps your sumo inside the ring. Put two wrestlers in the ring, last one still inside wins! Hint: You will need a light sensor - 40 cm - Challenge #4 : Labyrinth Challenge (50 Minutes) Create a program that navigates your robot through the labyrinth without crossing any of the lines. Students can design labyrinth and choose the start and stop points.

Mindstorms NXT / EV3 Robotics Challenges

Students will build a program in the lego Mindstorm NXT or EV3 software to complete the obstacle courses illustrated below.

Materials: Variety of coloured electric tape, computer with Mindstorm software, NXT or EV3 robot (base model)

Challenge #1: The Starter (50 minutes)Create a program that navigates your robot from the green start line to the red stop line. The robot must start and stop exactly on the
