Mixing Photoshop with traditional media.

• You will experiment with a variety of traditional mark-making techniques using paints, inks and pencils.

• Investigate how these can be combined with Photoshop by digitising the original traditional images and layering them and applying different filters.

• Give an analysis of the work of other artists who exploit a similar style and demonstrate links in your own work with an evaluation of its effectiveness.

• Create short staggered workshops that exploit a variety of drawing styles (continuous line, up-side down, controlled etc.) and mark-making that can be used the next session in Pshop.

• Drawings related to this session must be completed as homework and scanned/photographed for use in this session

The emphasis is to create work that is visually stimulating so a variety of blended images form a final piece
