C1-1 What an INCREDIBLE week of camp it was for C1-1! We had five campers join our group and already they fit in great! On Bed Head Tuesday we had a lot of fun making dream catchers and getting messy as we made hand-print pillowcases. On Wednes-day we got creative as we decorated the best silly socks the camp has ever seen! For Safari Thursday, we had a blast as we made our own adventure on our first field trip of Session II. We finished the week off by singing an original C1-1 song and making Hawaiian leis for Luau Shabbat. We cannot wait to see what is in store for next week!

C1-2Week three of camp was OUTSTANDING, AWESOME and PHENOMENAL! On Monday, we made crazy hats in honor of Crazy Hat Day. On Tuesday, we decorated awesome pillowcases and made our own very tasty ice cream. Stella Blen and Jillian Spiegel loved playing on the slip n slide. Hannah Miller, Hannah Moore and Adam Loskovitz loved playing duck, duck, splash. Lily

McCollum and Abby Hodus loved decorating silly socks on Silly Sock Wednesday. We had an OUTSTANDING time on our field trip! The Botanical Gardens is such a fun place. C1-2 was in charge of Luau Shabbat this week and we really enjoyed participating in the Hawaiian activities! Week three was so much FUN!

CA-1CA-1 started Session II off right with Crazy Hat Day, by making crazy name visors and playing sports with Coach Mike. Jor-dan Infeld and Sam Libby both hit homeruns during a game of tennis baseball. On Bed Head Tuesday we decorated pil-lowcases and went on a scavenger hunt. The prize was the indoor playground! On Silly Sock Wednesday, CA-1 made silly socks and our own skits for our very own silly sock showcase. Safari Thursday was spent making rain sticks, ants on a log, and animal play dough. On Luau Shabbat we made fruit kabobs and learned how to hula dance with Miss Hollie. CA-1 had an AWESOME week and we are looking forward to week two!

CA-2CA-2 is an extremely unique group that has much to offer your 2nd and 3rd graders. Each day is filled with a variety of creative projects and exhilarating physical activities and games, which ensures that each camper’s day is lived to the fullest. In CA-2, the theme of “being a family” is constantly implied and put into effect by CA-2’s responsible and dedicated counselors. In the first session, bonds formed quickly between campers and friendships were instantaneously created. In the second session, we hope to make our camper’s experience better than ever.

CB GIRLSCB Girls had a blast playing four corners and changing into our swim suits to play a wet game of duck, duck, splash. We even jumped in the 12 feet end of the pool during free swim. This week has been filled with fun! We played freeze tag on Crazy Hat Monday, made pillowcases on Bed Head Tuesday and de-signed our own silly socks on Silly Sock Wednesday. Our field trip to Golf & Games on Safari Thursday was the best! Our fun didn’t stop there. Friday’s Luau Shabbat by the pool was a PHE-NOMENAL ending to an AWESOME week! We can’t wait to see if next week will be as OUTSTANDING as this week!!!

CB BOYSThis week was a very event filled week! Along with playing the usuals, we had a very intense game of Cheese Ball and World Cup Soccer. On our

field trip, we went to Golf & Games and the boys of CB enjoyed playing miniature golf, riding the go-karts and getting extremely wet on the bumper boats. We haven’t stopped cheering this week, as we practice for the Camp Cheer Off next week.

We are so excited we won the Spirit Stick!

UNIT 78Unit 78 started Session II off great! We learned a new game titled “Coke and Pepsi” and had a great time competing for the win. During our specialty ac-tivities, Leslie and Paris loved eating the homemade French fries we made in our cooking lessons. Celie and Aharon helped their team win during four-ball basketball with all the shots they scored. Unit 78

played an intense game of dodge ball against CB Boys. We each enjoyed the opportunity to help out at the Food Bank on Thurs-day, which included cleaning cans and filling backpacks with donated food. The campers had a great time at Luau Shabbat and learned a new dance! We are even more excited for next week to see what else we can do!!

Sports AlephThis week was an exciting start to Session II. The first day of flag football was AWESOME, with Drew Klayman pulling everyone’s flags be-fore they reached the “end zone” of the drill. Jared Gross and Alec Feinman won a game of World Cup Soccer and celebrated with the rest

of the group. Ben Hackney scored a homerun during our kickball game on Tuesday and his teammates waited for him at home plate to greet him with high fives. Zander Schmidt showed off how silly he can be by wearing his silly band silly socks on Silly Sock Wednesday. On Friday, we ended the week with a BIG flag football game and a fun filled Luau Shabbat.

Sports BetSession II has started off great for Sports Bet! Sam Franklin was an all-star flag football player showing off his skills for Coach Raheem. Zach-ary Wilkes scored a homerun in tennis racquet baseball, almost flying around the bases as he ran so fast. Nicholas Schaffen scored multiple points during our intense game of handball. We were so excited about going to Incredible Pizza on our Field Trip. We had so much fun! On Fri-

day, we ended the week with an intense game of flag football and a great Luau Shabbat by the pool.

Theater CampWe were so excited to perform our showcase for our parents and friends on Thursday night and again on Friday afternoon for the entire camp! Bridget Gross designed a beautiful poster to show off everyone’s contribution to the production. We enjoyed dress rehearsals and performed with microphones. Some of our fans got to take pictures with the cast!

Chess CampChess camp has been on a roll this week. Winning two spirit games and hav-ing lots of fun! This week Chess has been all about learning the fundamentals, HANDS-ON. Helen Tobias and Jacob Kapusta have al-

ready participated in a chess tournament. Even though, all the camp-ers have enjoyed all the fun things in Chess camp, Christian Marinescu says, “Swim time is the BEST of all!”

Art Camp WOW! Time sure flies when you have your hands stuck in plaster! We cannot believe that Session II Art Camp is al-ready half over. We have been work-ing very hard on two large and ambitious sculpture projects this week. We have learned about the skeleton, muscles and skin of the human body by building figure sculptures out of foam board and duct tape, wet cardboard and papier-mâché. We have also been casting plaster into face molds that will be painted in the re-semblance of all of the members of our

families, for a large high relief collage family tree. We will be working hard Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to put the finishing touches on these two masterpieces. They will be on display in the JCC Gallery Thursday, July 7th at 6:15 pm. All friends and family of Session I and II Art campers are invited and encouraged to attend.
