Cuisine PL

The Polish presidency is a perfect opportunity to promote the cuisine of the country. One of the most eminent Polish chefs, Adam Chrząstowski, oversses the preparation of an exquisite menu of Polish dishes, based on native products, for the summits in Poland and Brussels. Moreover, foreign delegations and journalists visiting Poland during the Polish presidency will be given sets of recipes for Polish dishes, arranged in a modern way by 16 chefs, including three foreigners, who work in the best Polish restaurants. The basis for each recipe is a food product traditionally associated with Polish cuisine (e.g. herring, pickles, buckwheat groats, poppy seeds, venison). Each recipe is preceded by an easy-to-understand description of the product, including the cultural contexts. State-of-the-art illustrations make the publication even more appealing.

This publication is available from the presidency website.

The winning projects are: · Spinning tops (Monika Wilczyńska) · Briefcases (Ania Kuczyńska) · Milk and honey (Beza projekt) · Cuff-links with banded flint (Dorota Kempko)

The Polish presidency can be described in a much more thorough way. However, we care about the natural environment and we would only like to point out the key watchwords, concepts and statistics in this leaflet. More information can be found online at the official Polish presidency websitewww.pl2011.eu. Polish presidency is green presidency.

Delegates coming to Poland for presidency meetings are traditionally presented with small gifts.. The Polish presidency went for young Polish designers, minimalism, traditional materials and modernism with a link to nature and tradition.
