MIP: Flanagan & Green Paper

Recommendation 11:Home Office to include consultation in Green Paper on service-wide consistency on the implementation of standard systems and processes … & mandating regional collaboration on issues such as procuring IT systems, Air Support, Fleet, Uniforms etc.

Green Paper 6.20:Increasingly, we expect police authorities and Chief Constables to consider whether procurement decisions should be made locally (collaborating with local partners), regionally or nationally, depending on the nature of the market. They will be helped to do this by better management information about overall police service expenditure on goods and services.
