Objective A leadership role in a challenging environment, directing the development of technology within the organization.

Experience 2011 – Current Vodafone International Services Cairo, Egypt

Senior Project Support Engineer / Project Coordinator My responsibilities - among others – are:

VTM Project SPOC Support the efficient and effective management and delivery projects.

Assists Provides advice and guidance to project managers during projects Gates. Works with project manager for effective Estimate to ensure that project costs are tracked against

efforts Design and development of new or changed infrastructure services. Plan and implement the deployment of all releases to create a new

infrastructure services or improve an existing services. Coordinate and carry out day-to-day activities and processes required to

deliver and manage services at agreed SLA. Gather, validate, design and implement customers’ needs for improving

systems and network design/configurations. This include both hardware and software requirements related to such requirements.

Review, analyze and recommend any improvement opportunities in each infrastructure service life cycle phases.

Find root cause and failure analysis to resolve systems problems.

Change Analyst Accountable for all VTM CRQs (approver – analysis).

As an example I have contributed in the following projects in the roles identified:

1- Vodafone Group, Enterprise Domain The VGE VTM “Vodafone Telecoms Management”

Operations: maintain VTM 100% availability over 12 months in a row Throughout 3 Major

releases On-boarding new 11 VSA Customers, 5 ENT Customers Data growth from 1.4TB to 2.5TB in 12 months

Projects: VTM 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3 - Testing, deployment on non-prod and prod

environments o Maintaining deployments calendars for all environments and cross-

dependencies o Preparing deployment plans for Go-Live o Managing human resources to meet deadlines

SM Evolution migration projects (Phase 1 and Phase 2) o Migrating 74 Customers in phase 1 o Migrating 92 Customers in phase 2

Page 2: Mohammed__Saladin_CV

Retrofit project o Planning the deployment methodology o Doing a POC on all possible migration scenarios o Do accurate efforts estimation for all deployment weekends o Perform the migration over 3 weekends (totaling 108 hours)

Strategic planning and Automation: Use of App Dynamics automatic service restoration scripting to recover OOM

(Out-Of-Memory) error automatically maintaining seamless end user experience Planning for horizontal VTM capacity expansion (rather than vertically) - multiple

backend SQL clusters - to further enhance the system scalability and platform resilience to failures

- Vodafone Group, Enterprise Domain The VGE VTM “Vodafone Telecoms Management” is a web based service which provides Global

Enterprise Customers (Multi National Customers like HP, IBM) a simple interface for the management of their fixed and mobile phones. Moreover it delivers a fully managed service environment in order to control critical aspects of telecoms services such as ordering, inventory, expense management, device configuration and contracts, the project dealing with Jboss Application server and MSSQL, Oracle Databases.

The VGE CSA “Consolidated Spend Analysis” To merge all of the bills of VGE customers into one bill (collecting CDRs from each OpCo to deliver Feeds which to be imported to CSA)

The VGE Extranet is a web based service which provides Global Enterprise Customers like HP, IBM etc. a personalized functionality through a seamless, consistent, functional and easily supported user experience. Customer Solution Applications like Device Manager, Bill Presentment, Order Management and Platform Applications like Trouble Ticketing, Self-Service can be mentioned as sample applications which will be offered by the service. Service bases on J2EE technology and will use its own SSO and IDM solution (SUN). The Customer Solution Application will be accessible via the reverse proxies functionality built in within the Apache Web Server.

The VGE Spend Manager is a web application that will be offered to VGE customers to track and manage their global spend with Vodafone. The customer interface is provided by an application accessing the billing information extracted from the Consolidated Spend Analytics data base CSA. The data extraction happens once a month. The VGE customer accesses the extranet portal, is authenticated there and forwarded to the Spend Manager application (Single Sign On). The customer can have a look at the aggregated spending information for his enterprise on a global or country level.

My scope of work had been itemized into a number of distinct tasks: Apply any new requirements or changes in the production platform. Plan and manage the capacity and resource required to package, build, and test and deploy a release

into production and establish the service specified in the customer requirements. Provide the required technical consultancy services. Operate with the Remedy System to solve the tickets raised by customer.

2- Vodafone Group, Online Domain The Ask Online project provides a service for consumer customers. The customer access the service

from internet. He can search and navigate through questions and answers. Where he cannot find sufficient answers, the contact center can easily be involved by opening a call via chat or email, the project dealing with Web logic Application server and Oracle Database.

The EBPA E-Billing Presentment and Analytics project As the name of the service implies, it boils down to having each OpCo offering their clients electronic bills instead of paper ones. In order to perform this, Vodafone Germany offers necessary infrastructure for the OpCos at its own data center. Maintenance of this infrastructure is divided among different teams The cycle of the service can be briefed as follows:

a- The OpCo uploads its clients' billing files to some shared storage maintained by VF-DE;

Page 3: Mohammed__Saladin_CV

b- The automated ETL process (later explained) does a couple of things:

First, do some pre-processing of the billing files.

Second, inserts the files into the database in order to be accessible through the web application.

3- Vodafone Group, centralized Zimbra mail solution deployment and operations

The operation countries offer their customers a centralized platform called Hosted Services for Web hosting, domain name registration and email services. The customers will be offered Domain Name hosting, web hosting and email services for small and medium enterprises in countries within the Vodafone footprint. The email services expanded by a mobility option, which is BlackBerry or the push email solution via GOOD (formerly called VISTO) for non-BlackBerry users. The Domain Name hosting and web hosting part will be provided by an external company Hostopia. They also provide the Portal which integrates in the operation country and allows access to the DNS and web services parts. The email solution including BlackBerry will be hosted in the VT-IS data center in Ratingen (Germany). This hosted email solution is Managed, implemented, Monitored and supported by my team.

My scope of work had been itemized into a number of distinct tasks: Zimbra collaboration suite Deployment in pre-production Environment (proxy, MTAs, Ldap, Logger,

mail store). Integrate Zimbra mail store with VERITAS Cluster (N+1). Apply any new requirements or changes in the production platform. Plan and manage the capacity and resource required to package, build, and test and deploy a release

into production and establish the service specified in the customer requirements. Provide the required technical consultancy services. Check the test cases in the HP Quality Center and solve the raised Defects.
