Toddler & Preschool

Our regular Toddler and Preschool Programs are fun and challenging. They introduce children to classroom routines as well as developmentally appropriate academic skills, which are integrated into theme investigation, play, cooking, art, science, music, literacy and math activities. The program is also an ideal introduction for children who are coming to school for the first time.

The ballet program will encourage little

dancers to love moving creatively and expressively! Potential ballerinas will enjoy dancing to well-known nursery rhymes and classical tunes, using props like hats, tambourines, and scarves, and pretending to be various characters from some fairy tales and children’s books. Thoughtfully divided into two major age clusters (Tiny Toes: ages 2.0 – 3.00; Little Ballerinas: 4.0 and above), the program will teach children basic classical ballet positions and steps according to their age group’s physical abilities and general interests.

The Preschool Chinese Class is a language immersion class where Mandarin will be used as the teaching tool. The children’s work time, circle, snacks, active group play and story periods will be conducted in Mandarin, fully surrounding or immersing them in the language. To enrich their appreciation and knowledge of their own unique culture, they will tackle some aspects of Chinese Filipino life such as food, family traditions and games as their theme throughout the summer.

Science & Nature Discovery Program

The Science and Nature Discovery Program enhances children’s understanding and respect for the natural world and teaches the initial skills of scientific inquiry. cook and bake, kids use science observation

Taekwondo is a Korean martial art that

combines combat and self defense

techniques with sports and exercise. It is

loosely translated as “the way of the foot and

the hand”.

Taekwondo kids have what it takes to be

their best physically; fit, flexible and

Taekwondo kids can do complicated series of

moves and combinations of punches and

kicks that boost their concentration and

memory as they can immerse themselves

The Preschool R&D is a Science Program

filled with fun, powerful learning

experiences that will inspire deep

investigations, validate and empower

children to learn and teach the initial skills

of scientific inquiry. The children will

engage in trips and experiments, explore

scientific tools and educational materials

for hands-on investigation. These

experiences their curiosity, observation

and various thinking skills. Science

activities and investigations are also a

great way to build oral vocabulary,

develop reading readiness, and fuel

literacy development.

Our preschool dance program is a

developmentally appropriate dance class for

beginners. The use of familiar children’s music

encourages active participation from young

children. Songs are carefully chosen for

suitability.

Through age appropriate exercises, aspiring

dancers are introduces to basic skills like

stability, balance, movement and rhythm. The

class also cultivates familiarity with a class

routine, self-expression and also working well

with others. It develops memory as the

children memorize simple steps and actions to

complete a dance routine.

Filipino Summer Enrichment Program

“Katuwaan” Filipino Summer Enrichment Program is a language acquaintance class enriched with cultural investigations in every segment of the routine. In a classroom stocked with Filipino visuals and materials, different facets of our rich native culture will be explored. Kids will experience classic Filipino tabletop games indoors, as well as street games like luksong-tinik, piko, and patintero outdoors. The program puts a strong emphasis on developing oral language through songs, stories, and conversations, but also makes use of the Alpabasa learning materials to challenge the early readers and writers.

Music Therapy (Maximum of 4 students)

Music Therapy is the clinical and evidence-based

use of music interventions to address physical,

social, psychological-emotional and cognitive

aspects of the physically challenged individuals,

children with special needs and persons with

emotional and medical conditions. It is an

established health profession in which music is

used within a therapeutic relationship to address

different needs. After assessing the strengths and

needs of each child, the music therapist provides

the indicated treatment including creating,

singing, moving to, and/or listening to music.

Through musical involvement, clients' abilities

are strengthened and transferred to other

areas of their lives. Music therapy also provides

avenues for communication that can be helpful to

those who find it difficult to express themselves in

words.

Teacher: Teacher Grace Pimentel has been a

preschool teacher for 14 years. She has been

teaching Music and Movement in Explorations for

3 years. She has a Masteral Degree in Childhood

Education and is also about to complete her MA in

Music Therapy with Children with Special Needs

and Youth with Disabilities.
