One of the most popular features of the Monitor School System is the ability to order online from school stores. Monitor’s online ordering portal gives school stores the ability to sell 24-7 allowing parents and students to make purchases at their convenience.

As much or as little POS as you need…

The school environment demands speed, flexibility and reliability from a POS system. Typically, canteens process large numbers of transactions in very unforgiving time frames so the focus here is on ef ficient customer handling. Uniform stores require a different set of features and usually focus on inventor y management, sales histor y and detailed sales repor ting. In all cases, POS needs to be intuitive and easy-to-use for staff and volunteers alike.

Monitor’s POS system for schools can do all of the above effortlessly. In the canteen, entire transactions may be completed in as little as 3 seconds using the student card to “ Tap and Go” . Uniform stores will appreciate the range of stock management functionality such as instant sales history, wireless stocktaking and colour/size matrix.

Monitor POS has a list of features including support for barcode printing and reading, integrated eftpos, serial number tracking, assembly management, biometric support, kitchen printing and catalogue pricing to name just a few. The system is fully scalable to suit the needs of the store and can even be operated on a tablet device allowing complete mobility.

Self service account managementAdministrational overhead is the enemy of efficiency. Staff at schools are always busy in their roles and we believe that we can make a big difference with our self ser vice, online account maintenance feature.

Parents and students are able to add funds to their account, check where money has been spent around the school campus and immediately suspend their account in the occasion that the student card has been lost. Daily spend limits can be applied to student accounts.

Schools are able to publish donations, fees and events online. The Monitor online account portal can be presented in the school colours to provide the users with a seamless experience and to reinforce school branding. Messages can be published so that they are noticed as parents log in.

Unattended on-site kiosksMonitor account reload kiosks provide campuses with an easy transition to a cash-free environment. They offer staff and students the ability to load their accounts using either cash or EFTPOS. This self-serve facility will further reduce cash and customer handling at campus stores. In addition, cardholders are able to quickly and easily check their account balance.

Monitor account reload kiosks provide the best of both worlds by allowing onsite cash and EFTPOS account reload. Students are also able to check their balances at the kiosk device.

Visitors or casual users are able to self-issue guest tickets which can be used to make purchases from school shops, solving the problem for those who will not have school ID cards.

Funds paid directly to school accountMonitor will never touch your money!

When parents or students load their account, the funds are transferred directly into the school account.

Schools can use existing banking services or Monitor can facilitate in setting up a payment gateway. All purchase transactions are fee free!

The Monitor School System is charged as an all inclusive annual subscription – it’s that simple. We feel that this provides a transparent and simple form of payment which will allow you to budget for your system expenses.
