GWACs Defined
GWACs are designed to support complex, long-term, information technology (IT) programs often consisting of a mix of hardware, software, networking, and professional services to achieve an overall IT outcome such as a data center migration or completion of a major software project.

• Contracting officers external to the GWAC Center place orders against the base contracts
• Contracting officers in GSA’s Assisted Acquisition Service make extensive use of GSA’s GWACs – comprise about 50% of the business volume
• Contracting officers from other agencies comprise the remaining 50% of the business volume
