REGULATED INSTITUTIONS ‐ ACTIVE BORROWERS AND PORTFOLIO  

                     * Starting with this period, Sogesol / Haiti is now part of Regulated Institutions group due to removal of Service Companies group because currently Santander Microcredito/Brazil is not Accion Network member.  During the first quarter of 2014, Regulated Institutions experienced an active client’s decrease of 1,550,910 (‐25.6%), mainly due to removal of Crediamigo / Brazil; In absolute terms, Compartamos / Mexico was the institution in this group that experienced the highest increase during this period with 68,802 clients (2.8%). Furthermore, this group decreased its active portfolio by 888.5 million (‐11.9%) and also Compartamos / Mexico was the institution in the group that increased the most in this variable: 43.3 million (3.4%).

* At the end of first quarter of 2014, the NGO’s group decreased the active clients by 11,185 (‐5.4%). In absolute terms, Fundacion Paraguaya in Paraguay experienced the only growth with 1,732 active clients (3.0%). As far as active portfolio, this group decreased US$7.1 million (‐5.9%) and also Fundacion Paraguaya was the institution that recorded increase in this variable: US$0.7 million (2.9%).

* By March 2014, Partners in Africa and Asia group recorded a growth of 38,304 clients (16.1%). In absolute terms, Swadhaar in India experienced the highest increase, with 27,500 clients. As far as active portfolio, this group reflected an increase of US$1.5 million (1.1%). And also Swadhaar was the institution of the group that recorded the growth in this variable: US$6.7 million (24.7%).

PORTFOLIO IN ARREARS > 30 DAYS – COMPARISON DECEMBER 2013 / MARCH 2014 

    

The group of Regulated Institutions experienced an increase in its portfolio at risk (0.89 points), and its indicator remains above to the weighted average of all institutions by 0.01.  

The group of NGOs showed an increased by 1.23 points during this period. It remains below the weighted average of the total portfolio at risk by 1.28 points.  

The group of partners in Africa and Asia increased its portfolio at risk by 0.46 points and it still remains 0.53 points above the weighted average.
