Her first lecture was delivered to 300 medical students using an overhead projector and blackboard. She is also an active researcher with over 100 publications and a co- investigator of the Victorian Centre for Biostatistics (ViCBiostat), which is a new Centre of Research Excellence for building the discipline of biostatistics. Rob Moodie is Director of Teaching and Learning at MSPH. He chaired the National Preventative Health Task Force from 2008-2011, and is currently advising WHO Geneva on Non Communicable Diseases. He teaches Health Promotion and Public Health Leadership at MSPH and also teaches in Mozambique, Belgium and India. In this presentation, Julie will demonstrate her interactive teaching methods for communicating biostatistics to students with a non-mathematical background. She will also provide a summary of the MPH courses and teaching support available at the other institutions. Rob Moodie, the new Director of Teaching and Learning, will present the future directions and plans for teaching at the Melbourne School of Population Health (MSPH). SEMINAR
