Philadelphia, the "City of Brotherly Love" is the birthplace of America and home to Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution were both signed and adopted. It served as the meeting place for the US Congress for several years, and was where George Washington served as president from 1790 to 1797. It is also the birthplace of America's first-ever daily newspaper and it is also where the first American Flag was designed, sewn by Betsy Ross in her humble upholstery shop.
