MOTHER’S DAY SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE
MAY 11, 2014
8:15 AM Mother’s Day Order of Worship
Prelude
Welcome
Praise the Name of Jesus/He Is Lord
Praise the name of Jesus, praise the name of Jesus. He’s my Rock, He’s my Fortress,
He’s my Deliverer, in Him will I trust. Praise the name of Jesus.
He is Lord, He is Lord! He is risen from the dead and He is Lord! Every knee shall
bow, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Call to Worship Josh Vahle
Victory in Jesus
I heard an old, old story, how a Savior came from glory, how He gave His life on
Calvary to save a wretch like me. I heard about His groaning, of His precious blood’s
atoning, then I repented of my sins and won the victory.
Chorus
O victory in Jesus, my Savior, forever! He sought me and bought me with His
redeeming blood. He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him. He
plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.
I heard about His healing, of His cleansing power revealing, how He made the lame
to walk again and caused the blind to see. And then I cried, “Dear Jesus, come and
heal my broken spirit,” and somehow Jesus came and brought to me the victory.
I heard about a mansion He has built for me in glory, and I heard about the streets of
gold beyond the crystal sea; about the angels singing and the old redemption story;
and some sweet day I’ll sing up there the song of victory.

Jesus Shall Reign
Jesus shall reign wherever the sun does its successive journeys run; His kingdom
spread from shore to shore, till moons shall wax and wane no more.
To Him shall endless prayer be made, and endless praises crown His head. His
name like sweet perfume shall rise with every morning sacrifice.
Let every creature rise and bring His grateful honors to our King; Angels descend
with songs again, and earth repeat the loud “Amen!”

Prelude
Welcome
How Great Is Our God/How Great Thou Art
The splendor of the King, clothed in majesty; let all the earth rejoice, let all the earth
rejoice. He wraps Himself in light, and darkness tries to hide; it trembles at His
voice, it trembles at His voice.
Chorus
How great is our God! Sing with me, “How great is our God!” And all will see how
great, how great is our God!
Age to age He stands, and time is in His hands; Beginning and the End, Beginning
and the End. The God-head, three in one, Father, Spirit, Son, the Lion and the Lamb,
the Lion and the Lamb.
Name above all names, worthy of all praise; my heart will sing, “How great is our
God!”
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee; how great Thou art! How great Thou
art! Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee; how great Thou art! How great
Thou art!

Acts Chapter 12
O Church, Arise
O church, arise and put your armor on; hear the call of Christ our captain; for now
the weak can say that they are strong; in the strength that God has given. With
shield of faith and belt of truth; we’ll stand against the devil’s lies; an army bold
whose battle cry is “Love!” Reaching out to those in darkness.
Our call to war, to love the captive soul, but to rage against the captor; and with the
sword that makes the wounded whole; we will fight with faith and valor. When
faced with trials on every side, we know the outcome is secure, and Christ will have
the prize for which He died. An inheritance of nations.
Come, see the cross where love and mercy meet, as the Son of God is stricken; then
see His foes lie crushed beneath His feet, for the Conqueror has risen! And as the
stone is rolled away, and Christ emerges from the grave, this victory march
continues till the day. Every eye and heart shall see Him.
So Spirit, come, put strength in every stride, give grace for every hurdle, that we
may run with faith to win the prize of a servant good and faithful. As saints of old
still line the way, re-telling triumphs of His grace, we hear their calls and hunger for
the day. When, with Christ, we stand in glory.
