Motorworld HistoriCar Duisburg

Classic car event in Duisburg-Nord Landscape Park

To kick off the new year, the Motorworld Group is expanding its

activities in the automotive event sector: The popular classic car

meeting HistoriCar, held in Duisburg, will become part of the

steadily growing group, and will take place for the first time under

the name Motorworld HistoriCar Duisburg on May 5-6, 2018. The

Motorworld Group will be investing a wealth of experience and

mobile passion to continue this classic car event, which has made a

name for itself well beyond the Ruhr region, and to lead it into the

future. With this augmentation, the Group is adding the perfect axis

in the west to its own trade fair and event formats – Motorworld

Classics Berlin in the north, and Motorworld Classics Bodensee and

Motorworld Oldtimertage Fürstenfeld in the south. The Group

motto – Space for mobile passion – will now gain an additional

impetus with Motorworld HistoriCar Duisburg at the Duisburg-Nord

Landscape Park.

The 35,000 sqm-large area and the hall with an additional 7,000

square metres, which used to be the power supply station for

Duisburg’s former steel mill, will continue to serve as the venue for

the event. Launched in 2005, by 2015 the event had developed into a

popular classic car scene meeting place for all the family. After a two-

year break, the 2018 event, now named Motorworld HistoriCar

Duisburg, will be inviting enthusiasts and fans of classic mobility to

discover automotive rarities in all their diversity, together with a

large parts market, in historical industrial surroundings. Motorworld

HistoriCar Duisburg also offers a sales area for private vendors, as

well as spacious indoor and outdoor areas where numerous clubs,

classic car dealers and a great selection of eateries will find a worthy

setting. Alongside classic cars and classics-to-be, historical two-

wheelers will also find their place here.

HistoriCar is a vibrant meeting place of mobile passion for exhibitors,

visitors and motoring scene fans alike.

About the MOTORWORLD Group

The independent Motorworld Group emerged from the Dünkel Holding, based in Schemmerhofen, Baden-Württemberg. It develops, builds and operates experience worlds dedicated to mobile passion. The first location was Motorworld Region Stuttgart in Böblingen, which opened in 2009 and has since been expanded several times. Further projects and activities under the MOTORWORLD® brand have been initiated in recent years. Three other sites following on the same concept as Motorworld Region Stuttgart are currently under construction: Motorworld München, Motorworld Köln-Rheinland, and Motorworld Zeche Ewald-Ruhr (Herten). Additionally, the start signal was recently given for a further location on the Spanish island of Majorca. Yet another concept with a focus on handicrafts will result in the two cottage industry sites Motorworld Manufaktur Berlin and Motorworld Metzingen. The Motorworld idea also regularly goes on tour, including to the annual classic car trade fairs Motorworld Classics Berlin and Motorworld Classics Bodensee, the Motorworld Classic Car Days at Fürstenfeld (near Munich), in May 2018 to the inaugural Motorworld HistoriCar Duisburg, as well as in numerous other guises.
