a New Way of Thinking
Roxanne Back, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Mathematics, works with students on the Menger Sponge Project. The Project is a collaboration between Mount Mary and Wisconsin high schools and middle schools. It requires more than 60,000 business cards and teaches a variety of math concepts, including logarithms, surface area, volume, counting techniques, scale factors and modeling.

Get festive! Did you know that Milwaukee is known internationally as the City of Festivals? Summerfest is the world’s largest music festival, as determined by the Guinness Book of Records. Over the course of eleven days, eleven stages feature more than 700 performers!
Irish Fest is the largest celebration of Irish Culture in the world, featuring performances of Irish dance and music. Other festivals include: Polish Fest, Festa Italiana, African World Festival, German Fest, Pridefest, Mexican Fiesta, Lakefront Festival of the Arts and Bastille Days.

Mount Mary CreatesA Step-by-Step Application ProcessIf you are a citizen of a country other than the United States and need a Visa to take classes in the United States, you are considered an international student. We recommend you start the admission process at least six months in advance of the semester in which you want to enroll. To be eligible to apply for undergraduate study at Mount Mary University, you must be in the process of completing or have already completed secondary or high school. To apply, follow the five steps below:

1. Submit the online Undergraduate International Student Application for admission and the $100 application fee. Find the application online at www.mtmary.edu/international
2. If English is not your native language, provide proof of English language competency by submitting an official TOEFL score. (Mount Mary’s TOEFL code is 1490; see our English as a Second Language explanation sheet online.)
3. Submit official transcripts from high school/secondary school and any colleges or universities that you have attended. Note: Transcripts must be translated into English by a certified translator or service.
4. Submit a transcript evaluation to determine the U.S. equivalency of all coursework and degrees. The evaluation must be done course-by-course or in a detailed report by an official evaluation service in the United States. Learn more about this requirement online at mtmary.edu/international. Evaluation agencies include: World Education Services, Educational Credential Evaluators and Educational Perspectives.
5. Submit the International Student Financial Support Form (undergraduate or dependent) and an official bank statement.

Mount Mary University awards full-time undergraduate international students with an academic scholarship based on the cumulative grade point average (GPA) upon acceptance to the University. Scholarship awards range from $4,500-$14,000 USD per year.
