Attn: Mr Dane Hendry. Re: Mount Victoria Village and Hartley Valley Safety Upgrades Jemena Asset Management Pty Ltd on behalf of Jemena Gas Networks would like to advise inreference to the proposed safety upgrade works as detailed above and based on the informationprovided by you, Jemena currently have a number of gas mains affected by this proposeddevelopment. This gas infrastructure is located in the road reserve and installed under theprovisions of the Gas Supply Act.
1. The Mount Victoria Village Upgrade proposal. Details of Jemena’s affected assets: - 160mm PE High Risk gas main 75mm Nylon gas main 32mm Nylon gas main (Please see attached maps)
2. The Hartley Valley safety Upgrade proposal. There is no gas infrastructure located in this section of road. Please note, a duty of care exists to ensure these gas mains are not compromised ordamaged during any future development or construction work. All costs associated with therelocation or modification to these gas mains will be borne by the developer and orlandowner. Jemena’s comments to the proposed development are as follows:.
Jemena requires a copy of the Design Package, Drawings and Work Methods Statements toreview and comment prior to the commencement of any construction activity. A Jemena Pipeline Patrol Officer will be required on site during any site works in the vicinityof the 160mm PE gas main.Care is required when operating machinery over the gas mains, it is advised no heavymachinery be used directly over the mains.The existing cover levels shall not be reduced on completion of any work.Any existing Jemena gas pipeline markers and gas valve markers must not be modified orremoved.
