The International Taoist Tai Chi Society has the honor to announce the starting of the firstTaoist Tai Chi group in Mozambique. Classes will be held at “The Sommerschield Studio”, 143 Rua Daniel Nepatina, just next to the Jardim de Sommerschield, Maputo. The first beginners group will start on the 19th September (intoduction class and inscriptions) from 19h00 to 20h30 and will keep running every tuesday on a regu-lar basis.

Insciptions can be made until the 3rd of October only (for this 1st group).TheTaoist Tai Chi internal art of taijiquan is specifically designed to improve holistic health. The significant degree of turning and stretching in each of the movements, combined with the adaptabil-ity of the form to suit individual needs, are just some of the factors that contribute to its focus on restoring, improving and maintaining health. The health benefits include: improved circulation, balance and posture; increased strength and flexibility; and reduced stress. With regular practise, the Taoist Tai Chi internal art of taijiquan reaches deep inside the body to benefit the entire physiology in-cluding the tendons, joints, spine, connective tissue and internal organs. It restores the calmness and peace of mind that is often lost through the desires and anxieties of daily life.

Although not a substitute for proper medical treatment, the taiji-quan that we offer can help to improve the health and quality of life for people dealing with health conditions such as poor circu-lation, high blood pressure, arthritis, back pain, joint immobility, respiratory problems, digestive disorders, Parkinson's disease, mul-tiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia and many others.
