PUBLIC NOTICE

Beginning Tuesday, July 9, 2013 through Thursday, July 11, 2013, the MBTA Transit

Police Department is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to

achieve re-accreditation by verifying it meets professional standards.

 Administered by the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission (MPAC), the

accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state-of-art standards in

four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support

services.

1014, at MBTA Transit Police Headquarters located at 240 Southampton Street, Boston,

MA. 02118.

 Anyone wishing to submit written comments about the MBTA Transit Police

Department’s ability to comply with the standards for accreditation may send them to the
