Grove Dear Families, We will continue to revisit and master previously learned objectives and I will be sending home a Clifford magazine and extension for you to do with your child over the next two weeks. The class will also be focusing on a winter theme this month. The March Family Activity for our Bulletin Board will be to decorate a Shamrock & Dr. Seuss. As always, feel free to contact me with questions or concerns. Respectfully yours, Mrs. Bel’Grove IMPORTANT DATES Check your child's backpack daily. 3-18 No School 3-28 Pre-K Screening 3-29 Pre-k Screening 3-29 Family Fun Night at RCES 5:30-7:30 HELP AT HOME__ • Please help your child practice holding a writing tool or writing their name. If you put their name on the bedroom wall they will learn to recognize it too. • Please read and sign the communication folder every night and return it. • Reading books to your child every night will help with comprehension skills. The Olney Library is a wonderful place for family enrichment. Recommended books in picture on back page. CURRICULUM Promoting Awareness of Speech and Sounds (PASS) Numbers Plus to help with number knowledge and strategies Writing Without Tears/Get Set for School to help students combine writing and math skills

Colors of the week: Green & Yellow Number of the week: Review number #8 Please take time to point out numbers and count when possible with your little one. Shapes for the month are: Triangle, Square, Circle, & Rectangle review. We will visit a different one each day this month. Activities:

New to classroom Sensory Table are items such as green sand, measuring tools, scoops, shapes, numbers and letters. These are all related to Core Standards. IMPORTANT: Dress warm for outside play as we go out when possible.

This is such a sweet, gentle story about a little bunny who is troubled when the days grow cold and the leaves fall. What is happening to his world? Is his beautiful earth dying? But “below the snow, hidden in every root, inside every bud, in every seed, a secret was stirring…” Spring brings a lovely surprise.

Letter Recognition and Sound: Kk! Please work at home with the letters we go over in class. Repetition is the key to learning with little ones.
