I have taught Kindergarten for 15 years.

I’m always learning, reading, and making stuff.

I love the simple things in life, children, and pug dogs!

•At the end of each term students will receive a DESK Report describing how they’re doing on specified Kindergarten skills. •I’ll also e-mail or call if I have a concern about their progress. •If you have a concern, please e-mail or call me, too. Sooner is better than later!•REMEMBER—how students do on their Weekly Homework is one of the best indicators of their progress. PLEASE DONT LET THEM GET BEHIND!

Volunteers

Volunteers will practice CONFIDENTIALITY when working with children.

Sign up on the volunteer sheet at the Open House or talk to me anytime during the year.

I’ll send a note home when the students are ready to have helpers in the class, usually a few weeks after school begins. WATCH for more information in Communication Folders.

If you cannot be here to volunteer for what you sign up to do, PLEASE let me know—send an e-mail or leave a message in the office.

Homework

Homework Folders will come home on Mondays and will need to be returned every Friday. Please HELP (but don’t do the writing or thinking for) your child complete one page, front and back, every day. This is the best way to ASSESS your child’s understanding of what is being taught in Kindergarten. If your child is struggling, please let me know and we can modify the homework assignments.

Stay Connected!

Newsletters will be sent home monthly. Check your child’s backpack and watch for Communication Folders weekly.
