Welcome to the Muckleshoot Scholarship Portal.

The Muckleshoot Financial Aid Department is proud to announce the new Muckleshoot Tribal Member Portal. The Tribal Member portal is an upgrade from the previous Online Web Application that was used to apply for Muckleshoot Financial Aid.

On the first screen you can register for your Member Portal Account when you are accessing the Member Portal for the first time. Once you get approved for an account you can apply online for Muckleshoot Financial Aid programs like Scholarship.

Muckleshoot Member Portal Registration. For the first time registration click the Register button on the Portal home page.

To complete the Portal registration form, click the Register button at the bottom. This will create your portal account. Once your portal account is created it will be pending approval from Enrollment Department. Once the Enrollment Department has verified your information you will receive a confirmation email. Most students receive their account approvals in 48 hours depending on the Enrollment Department’s current workload.

You will need an email account to complete the registration. If you do not have an email we recommend one of the many free email services through Google, Yahoo or Microsoft. Below is the example of the registration form. Please provide the most recent accurate information as possible.

Once you submit the registration form you will receive a confirmation email informing you of the succesful submission.

Change Password:

From the user Account menu you can change your password at any time. Note the password requirements for number of characters, special character and 1 upper case letter.

Click on the User Account Menu and select Change Password.

Change Email – Login Username: You can change your login name which is the original email you provided when signing up for the Member Portal Account. To do so access the drop down menu by your name in the upper right hand corner and select Change Email.

Muckleshoot Member Portal Dashboard. The Dashboard page will appear after signing in. It displays Active Applications as well as the student’s account information. From this page the user may choose a selection beneath the Account Information to navigate to Account, Applications, Documents or Notifications. The user may also click on their name in the upper right corner to open a menu to select the appropriate destination. Simply click on the user’s name again to close this menu.

Financial Aid Department Link and Information. In upper right hand corner, click on “Education”, then click “Financial Aid”. This page displays the financial aid department information and links to the programs offered by Muckleshoot Finanical Aid.

Scholarship Program Main Page Click on arrow to right of “Financial Aid” and then click “Scholarship”. This page displays the key information about the Muckleshoot scholarship program. Information like Application Open and closed dates and useful documents can be found here.

Useful documents:

The Useful Documents list for the Department and programs provides links to the important program and policy information documents. This is located in the upper right area of the page.

Applications:

The Applications list displays the applications available for the Scholarship program. The Application will not display if the Application Window is not currently open for a particular program.

Completing the Higher Ed Application:

On either the Financial Aid page or Scholarship page click on the Higher Ed link under Applications in the upper right area.

Complete the five page application with the most complete information as possible. With the new Scholarship Portal you can save your application and go back later and complete it. This new feature will make it easier on applicants to work on an application but still come back to finish at another time.

Page 1 – Applicant Information. The information that is currently in your Member Portal account will be displayed in the first page. The applications connection to your account information will make it easier every time you create an application for Financial Aid. Page one should always completed with your current information.

If there is any information that is not correct you can update you information in the View Account Information in the User Menu.

Uploading Required Documents Document Uploads allow you to upload documents from any local storage on your computer. You can add a name for more detail to describe the document. For example when uploading your Transcript, you specify in the Document Name “Spring 2017 UW Transcript”. You can upload PDF, JPG and BMP files. Other types like word or excel are not valid file types. If you are submitting an application for the second time there will be certain documents you will not have to update. Those documents will already be listed showing the date they were uploaded last time. For example you will not have to re-upload your Tribal Member ID each time you submit an application.

Submitting Your Application: Once you have agreed to all the requirements and uploaded the required documents you will be able to submit your application. You will receive a notification email that your application has been submitted. The submit button is only available on Page 5 of the application. You will receive an error message if you have not completed the agreement line items, signed with your Enrollment number and uploaded the required documents.

Viewing and Printing Completed Applications:

Once you have submitted an application you will be able to go to the View Application Information on the User Menu and see Incomplete and Submitted Applications. The Status of the Submitted application will change as your application is processed and you will see the status in the Result Column. This will update you as the Scholarship team processes your application.

You can Print your application and download by clicking on the disk icon under the Print Column.
