«The principal goal of education is to create men and women who are capable of doing new things, not simply repeating what other generations have done»
JEAN PIAGETSWISS EDUCATOR AND PHILOSOPHER
Welcome to Swiss Learning!
Rousseau, Pestalozzi and Piaget were among the great founders of the Swiss educational tradition. They travelled the world to spread their theories on teaching to all corners of the earth. Firmness, discipline, openness and an all-round education, with a focus on personal as well as academic development, are the foundations of this tradition, one that is still practiced today.
Our country prides itself in being able to offer a first-class education through its pre- and post-university studies and in being a leader in scientific research. These qualities ensure that pupils are equipped to confront the present day challenges of globalisation.
Switzerland welcomes students into a multicultural environment and a world of respect and understanding. Each student, through his or her own language, culture and background, contributes to making our institutions part of a “global village”. We unite all the possible elements to prepare each alumnus to become a world citizen.
It is with pleasure that we present the “Swiss Learning International Platform”. Our aim is to present a view of secondary, university and professional establishments that guarantee the traditions of Swiss education.
Professional development is also important to Swiss Learning and we provide training workshops for teachers and staff, in collaboration with internationally renowned institutions such as the International Baccalaureate organization. These high quality programmes are the result of integrating Switzerland’s own virtues of excellence, tradition and innovation.
Christophe Xavier Clivazfounder
The 11 high schools endorsed by the Swiss Learning project all meet strict criteria.
A key requirement is the ability to demonstrate a long tradition of educational excellence,
with at least 50 years experience in providing education and boarding facilities.
The establishment must be accredited by the relevant authorities.
High Schools
