Richard Henry Lee


He was one of the better known of the Americans

..to the British


seen as the coward by some revolutionaries

and a hero to all of the loyalists.


Major part in the American revolution.

His job was as the

elected “Justice of the Peace”


Elected for his determination for peace between the

British and the Americans.


He was one of the main speakers


Eventually elected

president of the congress


He opposed the federal

constitution

... but instead thought the rights of the states was

better.


Declaration of Independence

First official document that

displayed to the British that...


...the Americans

sought Independence


Hence the Declaration of Independence.
