multiple intelligence research proposal
DESCRIPTION
This was conducted during our Research Summit . It was about my thesis last 2003 when MI was at its peak. I hope that this will help those who needs advice and knowledge about MI Research Proposal. God bless fellow knowledge-seekers!TRANSCRIPT

The theory of Multiple Intelligences (MI) was
developed in 1983 by Dr. Howard Gardner,
professor of education at Harvard University. It suggests that the traditional notion of
intelligence, based on IQ testing, is far too limited.
Instead, Dr. Gardner proposes eight different intelligences to account for a broader range of
human potential in children and adults.
The study aimed to identify the multiple intelligences comfortability levels of
fourth year students in Antipolo National High School, Antipolo City during the
school year 2002-2003.
The respondents were 200 fourth year high school students of ANHS. They
composed ten percent of the total population of the graduating students
who were randomly selected from different sections and grouped
according to their third year general average.
The study used the descriptive method of research which determined
the multiple intelligences comfortability levels of the students.
The statistical tools used were percentage, weighted mean and rank.
This study was conducted to identify the multiple intelligences comfortability
levels of fourth year students of Antipolo National High School, Antipolo City during the school year 2002-2003.
Specifically, the study attempted to answer the following questions:
1.What is the profile of the respondents in terms of
a. Sex
b. Age c. General Average d. Ethnic Origin e. Preferred course in
college
.
2. What is the multiple intelligences comfortability level of each of the
following groups of students?
a. High Achieverb. Average Achievers c. Low Achievers
3. Are there similarities/differences among the multiple intelligences
comfortability levels of the three groups of students?
The major findings of the study are:
1.Majority of the respondents are females, 16 years old, Tagalogs,
mostly low achievers, and preferred Management as their
college course.
2. The high achievers are comfortable with Intrapersonal, Existentialist,
logical-Mathematical, Visual or Spatial, Linguistic, Bodily Kinesthetic,
Interpersonal and Musical Intelligence.
3. The average achievers are comfortable with all the nine
intelligences.
4. The low achievers are comfortable with Intrapersonal, Bodily Kinesthetic,
Interpersonal, Musical, Visual or Spatial and Existentialist Intelligence.
5. The three groups of achievers have similar comfortability levels
relative to Intrapersonal Intelligence and different
comfortability levels as regards to Logical, Bodily Kinesthetic and
Interpersonal Intelligences.
The following conclusions are formulated:
1. Fourth year students are most comfortable with Intrapersonal
Intelligence.
2. Students whether they are high, average or low
achievers, are comfortable with Intrapersonal
Intelligence.
In view of the foregoing conclusions, the following are recommended:
1. School administrators and curriculum planners should conduct seminars and trainings on Multiple
Intelligences.
2. Educators should recognize and develop the talents and skills of their
students.
3. Teachers should vary their presentation of materials in learning style, which engages most or all the intelligences. They should make and
use lesson plans applying the principles of Multiple Intelligences.
4. A parallel study should be conducted to determine
Multiple Intelligences of the students.
Thank you so much God bless us!!!
