The Museums at Lisle Station Park offer a variety of programming for adults, children, and families throughout the year. A complete listing and schedule can be found in the Lisle Park District brochure and on our website. Here are some of our favorites:

MUSEUM PROGRAMS AND EVENTS

BLACKSMITH CLASSESLearn the trade of blacksmithing in our historic Blacksmith Shop from expert craft workers. We offer three levels of classes twice a year to develop your skills.

KIDS TIMEFamilies are invited to join us for free family fun. Themed activities will vary each month, from April through November and will be held one Saturday morning each month.

CHICAGO AUTHOR SERIESFree, thought provoking conversation about history and culture of our region with the authors who write about it. Every Saturday in February and October, authors from around Chicagoland will discuss their research and writing.

DEPOT DAYS AND ONCE UPON A CHRISTMASExperience the early history of Lisle! These free old-fashioned annual family events feature food, pioneer demonstrations, crafts, brick oven baking, and many more exciting activities.

Select buildings are open throughout the week during the Museum’s office hours. The Lisle Station Park green is subject to all Lisle Park District hours and regulations. Full site tours and themed tours are available by appointment. Individuals, groups, families, and school groups are welcome.

STORY TOURSStory tours transport you back in time to tell tales of the people who came before us to make history and establish the unique culture of Lisle that we see today.

ARCHITECTURE TOURSDelve into the inner workings of the Museum and experience a behind-the-scenes, under-the-floorboards look at our historic buildings.

HISTORIC CEMETERY TOURSTrace your own family’s heritage in one of the oldest cemeteries in DuPage County and the state of Illinois. Learn the history of Lisle’s early settlers, then discover the meaning of some of the artwork and symbols on many of the tombstones.
