Welcome to another exciting year in the musical life of

Christ Church. In this brochure, you will find the listings of our planned anthems and special events. From the meditative quietness of Compline in Lent to our monthly services of Choral Evensong, I hope you will hear and experience worship in a deeper way due to our offerings.

We are privileged to premiere two newly commissioned anthems this year—one by internationally renowned organist and composer, Philip Moore, and the other by our parishioner, David Caleb. Philip’s anthem will be sung at our 12th annual Festival Service of Nine Lessons and Carols, and David’s will be premiered on Christmas Eve.

By commissioning and offering new choral works, Christ Church celebrates that God continues to inspire composers working today. In addition, we have a number of wonderful guest musicians joining us this year.

I thank all of you who have generously donated to our Friends of Music appeal in the past. Your help enables us to go above and beyond what is possible with just the normal operating budget. I invite you to consider supporting this fund again and also to attend as many of our services as possible.

Wherever you are on your faith journey, know that you are welcome at Christ Church. Come join us in our music making!

Sincerely,

M. Jason Abel, Director of Music
