Music LibraryAn integral part of music study at ECU for nearly 40 years, the Music Library serves not only East Carolina University students, faculty, and staff (in particular those in the School of Music and the School of Theatre and Dance), but also music lovers, performers, and educators from the entire eastern North Carolina region.

WelcomeThe Music Library is the only branch of J.Y. Joyner Library, and is located on the first floor of the A.J. Fletcher Music Center. The 3,500 square-foot space packs a technological punch with WiFi and a technology lab that offers PCs, Macs, and the full range of audio-visual playback equipment in a bookstore setting that features comfortable seating and beautiful artwork. Private study spaces offer a computer and power outlets, and the reference area features tables for collaboration.

Sun: 1-10 p.m.

Summer SessionM-F: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Exceptions include universitybreaks and holidays.

What we offerCollectionsFrom Bach to rock and jazz to Jay-Z, the Music Library’s 95,000 volume collection of audio-visual materials, music-related books and journals, and musical scores offers something for everyone from the seasoned performer to the music aficionado. These physical collections are supplemented by an impressive offering of music-related electronic databases, journals, and books. All of this combines to make the ECU Music Library the largest music collection east of the Triangle Area.
