However, anytime a paper bill is placed in a jug, the money sub- tracts feathers (at 25 cents per feather) from the teacher's total. Student Council will collect the jugs throughout the time of the contest, count the mon- ey, and tally the totals. They will also put a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. place ribbon on teacher's turkeys so students know who is winning and who they might see in the parade. The teacher at each grade level with the most “feathers” will dress like a turkey on Friday, November 16 th for our Naked Turkey Parade at 8:30 am. So join us as we watch our teachers waddle! Dear Mustang Family, With the Thanksgiving holiday soon upon us, I

would like to take this opportunity to thank each

and every member of the Mustang community for

the support and encouragement you give so freely,

and with such joy, energy, and spirit. The support

we share as a school community is part of the rich

history and tradition that is Ford Elementary, and

is definitely something that sets us apart.

In the spirit of caring for others, our fac-

ulty and staff are second to none in their commit-

ment to our students! This group of professionals

care about our students deeply, and routinely go

the extra mile to provide an environment designed

to make it easy to learn, grow, and thrive. In the

spirit of giving to others, our parents and families

have provided time, talent, and treasure every as-

pect of school life from volunteering and more.

Our parents and families are supportive,

generous, and their energy sustains us and lifts us

up as we go along the important work of educating

today's students. This Thanksgiving season is a

good time for all of us to reflect on our many

blessings and to continue to use our many gifts to

benefit not only Ford, but also our world! Together

at Ford, I believe we truly make a difference in the

lives of our Mustangs! In Mustang Pride, Jessica McMullen, Ford Principal
