Introduction MVEES Knit Exports was established in the year 1995 as a private limited liability company under Government Board of Investment, a statutory body as an export oriented company. Mr. A. Maduraiveeran presently Chairman cum Managing Director is one who has spent his whole life in Textile trade involving various aspects of the Trade. In 1998 with advent of New Textile policy of Sri Lanka Government, He envisaged on this company to give vent to his vision of undertaking something Novel in this industry. Thus starting as Pioneer manufacturer exporter of Bed linen in single Jersey knit fabric exporting to USA and Europe countries. He has upgraded the factory to meet the buyers standard and according to their needs and requirements. His vision materialized and blossomed into the present status wherein manufacture and export of textile products has diversified to include not only Bed Linen. Fitted sheets in 100% Cotton and Poly cotton Single Jersey Fabric , Interlock and Terry but also Blankets to garments such as vests, blouses, T-Shirts and so on. This is a Pyramidal operation from Knitting, Dyeing, Finishing and Garments.

Location The Factory is located in Ratmalana, a suburb of Colombo city. Reachable by road within half-an hour. The Sister company too is in close proximity production process well co-ordinated and controlled.

Management The Management of the Company is co-ordinated by Mr. A. Maduraiveeran fully conversant in all aspects of production manufacture marketing ably assisted by Technically efficient Director Mr. S. Moorthy.

Dyeing – Finishing This is undertaken at the Sister Company- Oacianic Knitters (Pvt) Ltd. Situated in close proximity where latest machinery installed for finishing both open and tubular, compacting fabric. Capacity - 8000kg per day.



Machinery Factory equipped with 20 high speed circular Knitting Machines (width 20Ø - 44Ø) of production capacity 3000 kgs per day. Latest addition is a Lafer (Italian) compacting machine, the ultimate to maintain quality of fabric knit and dyed and guarantee shrinkage. Over 100 Japan made sewing machines with cutting ,A.Q.L system and packing

Production Capacity Presently our production process had been updated and streamlined under specialist guidance. Siplec E. Leclerc(France) - Rate of production 6000 Pcs. Per day. Last 12 years J. C. Penny(USA) - Going up to over 1200 sets per day. (Seasonal Orders)

correct manner. SGS Colombo has appointed a set of internal auditors to maintain this standard. Presently we await SGS final audit and inspection to grant us this PRESTIGIOUS awed.

Products



We import quality yarn from India, Pakistan, and Taiwan and knit the fabric in our knitting division for making bed linen and fitted sheets. We purchase fleece fabric locally from M/s.Hayleys Knitting Co Ltd as greige and this fabric dyed and finished in our dyeing plant M/s.Oacianic Knitters (Pvt) Ltd. We wish also to place on record that we have taken action to install a compacting machine LAFER at our sister concern to enhance quality of the fabric used in our productions referred above. This is operated since 2004

Awards In the year 2002

We are proud to record that we were awarded the prestigious Bronze award by NCE for the year 2002 under the medium category of industries. This year with new improved skills, increased efficiency and higher quality production our goals are to achieve the gold award under this category of industries.



In the year 2003

However year 2003 we record with pride the second prize - Silver Award for our enhanced export performance by National Exporters Council.



In the year 2004

Under National awards though Gold medal was not awarded, we were given Merit Excellence Certificate by National Export council in view of our Export Performance.

Heimtextil Textile Exhibitions

Heimtextil Exhibition is the oldest, biggest and the most recognized inter-national trade fare for home textile and commercial textiles. It is held every year during the month of January at Frankfurt, Germany. According to the organizers every year there are around 3155 exhibitors from 71 countries exhibiting their products. There is close to 93000 visitors from 93 countries around the world.



We have participated in this exhibition “Heimtextil” Frankfurt, Germany consecutively for the past five years. We are proud to note that we were the only Sri Lankans to participate in this fair.

We exhibit solely at our own costs. Since our participation we have enhanced our present markets and also developed several new markets from which we have earned valuate foreign exchange to our country.
