Why Volunteer?

AFAP is one the best ex-amples of democracy at its best. Volunteering will give you an opportunity to share knowledge, be a part of a team for a com-mon cause of change, and help change policies, leg-islation, laws and quality of Life for our great Soldiers, Families, DA civilians and retirees.

As a delegate you iden-tify issues with Army wide ramifications and to rec-ommend solutions. This requires an open mind and ability to listen and respect others.

As a facilitator you man-age the group process to achieve its goals and stim-ulate group discussion and encourages participation. This requires flexibility and patience.

Recorders/t ransc r iber s capture basic ideas on pa-per in full view of the group. They prepare issue papers and brief out slides. This re-quires neutrality.

Issue supporters monitor the group’s development of each issue and ensure the appropriate standards are being followed. This requires some knowledge of past issues or the willing-ness to learn them.

Put your Voice to work!Place an issue or sign up to volunteer on-line today!
