Conference Background:In open markets, global competition and economically rough times, the Competitiveness of a company determines its success or downfall. It is well accepted that those companies are successful, which react to change in time; i.e. those that react fast and are flexible to innovation and also have a management, which effectively coordinates internal and external capabilities. Innovation represents the core renewal process in any organization. If an organization wants to survive in today's turbulent environment it should have to prepare for renewing the offerings and its delivery process to their stakeholders. Innovation gives two conclusions- first, that most innovations which destroy the existing order originate from newcomers and outsiders to a particular industry and second, that few of the original players survive such transformations. So, here the question is not to innovate but how to implement the innovation successfully. Managing innovation becomes one of the key strategic dimensions for organization of all the size and from all the sectors. There is a consensus about strategic importance of innovation for firms and consequently for nations growth.
