I. INTRODUCTION

In June 1988, the Division of Astronomical Sciences of the National Science Foundation (NSF)decided that one quarterly report would be timed to coincide with the Annual Presentation to the NSF.Information that would have been included in the second quarter report was subsumed instead intomaterial prepared by NOAO for the Annual Centers Presentation to the NSF, held April 10 - 12, 1990in Washington, D.C.

The NOAO Management Committee decided NOAO would continue to keep quarterly records ofstatistics. This document contains statistics from the Personnel office, telescope usage statistics, andobservational programs.
