INTRODUCTION TO NOCIL National Organic Chemical Industries Limited (NOCIL) is a part of the Arvind Mafatlal Group of Industries (AMG), a well-known Business House in India with diversified business interests. NOCIL commenced its Rubber Chemicals manufacturing operations in the year 1975. Situated in a designated Chemicals Zone about 40 km away from Mumbai; NOCIL is the largest Rubber Chemicals Manufacturer in India. The Rubber Chemicals manufacturing processes originate from the chemistry of Nitrogen and Sulfur compounds. The processes involved are extremely complex and hazardous. Thus, the processes demand extremely sophisticated plants and equipments, process controls and continuous monitoring. All the manufacturing plants at NOCIL are fully automated through PLCs and are supported by sophisticated Instrumentation. Entire Plant Operations are managed by highly qualified and experienced employees ensuring smooth round the clock plant operations. As a part of its business philosophy; NOCIL has laid very high emphasis on Quality Assurance, Customer Focus and Health, Safety & Environmental Control. The ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications of NOCIL and the acknowledgement of our excellence in Customer Service standards by our esteemed customers are only a few steps towards our commitment to ‘Total Customer Satisfaction’. The emphasis of our Research activities is on the development of new understanding that can lead to process & product improvements and innovations. A team of highly qualified Organic Chemists, Chemical Technologists and Chemical Engineers supported by ultra modern laboratories and pilot plant facilities is constantly engaged in achieving our technology based business objectives. The Sales & Marketing activities in India are effectively handled by our four Regional Offices and a well spread out network of Agents & Distributors. In order to bring our products close to the overseas customers; NOCIL has developed an efficient net work of Representative Offices across the globe. NOCIL’s marketing efforts are further supplemented by its Marketing Technical Service (MTS) team which offers technical support to our customers for rubber product / process developments and helps them in solving shop-floor problems. NOCIL recognizes that Total Control on the Health, Safety & Environmental Care is an essential aspect for a sustainable operation. NOCIL has a well established HSE Policy and Procedures to support this basic Business Philosophy. The Environmental Control and Occupational Health and Safety Management aspects at NOCIL’s plant are ensured through ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 certifications.
