The National Plan For Tobacco Control based on :

Vision Saudi society free of tobacco and its complications.

Mission Promote health awareness among the community, the dangers of

the use of tobacco and tobacco products, Strengthen

surveillance and monitoring system for the use of tobacco among

the different bio data of the community, The provision of

services to quit tobacco use and dependence with high quality

standards and global activation of legislation and laws aimed to

reduce the use of tobacco in the community and the promotion of

local, Regional and global community partnerships .

The Duration Of The Plan

The plan extends the period of 2015-2030

to be implemented in a phased five-year

plans (every 5 years)

• Increase the level of awareness of the

dangers of tobacco use on public health and

changing concepts and behavior of society

towards its use.

Purpose

Primary prevention of

falling into the trap of tobacco

The First Objective

• reduce the proportion of tobacco use among

adults in the age group 18 years and older.

• Reduce the proportion of tobacco use among

young people and young people in the 13-15

years age group.

1- percentage increase awareness of the dangers of tobacco use and change the

behavior of members of the community by 10% every five years.

Target indicator

2- The percentage of reduction of tobacco use among young people and young

people in the 13-15 years age group by 30% from the current situation.

3- The proportion of reducing tobacco use among adults in the age group 18

years and above 30% for the current situation.

4- The proportion of the impact of the application of the health warnings on

tobacco products to members of the community.
