Inuit HomesIn the winter, Inuits lived in houses made from blocks of ice called igloos.
In the summer, Inuits lived in tent huts made from animal skins

Lived in rectangular cedar plank houses.
These houses have bark roofs
As many as 50 people lived in each house

Hunted animals such as black bear and wolves with bow and arrows.
They also ate many types of fish, seal, crab, clams and fish from the ocean.
Transportation
The Kwakiutl tribe used dug out canoes for transportation.

Nez Perce HomesThis tribe lived in dugout earth homes. These were underground homes that were covered with earth, cedar, bark or tule.
Round houses were for one family.
Long houses held dozens of families.
Nez Perce ClothingWomen wore long deer skin dresses.
Men wore a breech cloth with leather leggings
Some clothes were decorated with beads
Both men and women wore moccasins
